Even though the LX shares the same as the US version of the Land Cruiser the GX or also known internally as the J120 actually shares the Land Cruiser Prado platform which is used in many corners of the world and which the GX gets its off-road capability from. It has a 5,000 LB towing capacity, which is capable through its 235 HP V8 engine. The first generation lasted until 2009 and the second generation is still being built. These highly capable vehicles were a huge success and are very sought after. These utility vehicles are known to last a very long time. This particular GX shows very good for its age with some cosmetic blemishes here and there. The vehicle was involved in a very minor accident when the owner was hit while she was parked. The vehicle was professionally repaired by a very reputable company. The troublesome air suspension was removed and a fixed shock was put in place on all four corners, which in my opinion is the best way to go.
