The 2021 Hagerty Bull Market advisory calls the SRT8 one of the fastest-rising collector vehicles, reflecting the strong action other collector trucks & 4x4s have been showing. Of course it is far removed from the mass-market Grand Cherokees it is based on, with its big 420-hp 6.1 liter Hellcat-related Hemi engine, full leather luxury interior & 20” wheels. (Faster 0-60 than a Porsche Cayman S!)
Naturally, only pristine, low-mileage examples will have collector interest, and we believe this SRT8 may be one of the very best there is. It has all the important credentials—fully documented 3-owner history, clean CarFax, only 44K miles, absolutely immaculate in & out with no winter driving and never smoked in. Best of all, the car has received all of the desirable chassis upgrades loved by SRT8 enthusiasts:
Upsized red Brembo brake calipers & vented rotors, Mopar cold-air induction, stainless BBE cat-back exhaust (that sounds fabulous!) plus a $9000 custom bluetooth sound system. It has been regularly show-detailed in our shop and just received a fresh ceramic coating treatment plus an application of the latest-technology ClearBra film on the nose. The windshield has just been replaced (due to pits) and 3M now offers an optically-clear ultra-thin film to cover the glass to prevent future pits. You can see from the pictures that the car has an amazingly clean undercarriage and all the owner’s books & past service records will come with the car. Collector-owned and carefully driven, it is truly a rare ‘no excuses’ example.
Sharp eyes will note that a custom polyurethane skid shield has been added under the nose to prevent scrapes and it has nearly-new Michelin Sport 3 tires all around. If you have been looking at SRT8s, you will quickly recognize that this is a far superior vehicle to the typical ones out there. If you want the very best, this one probably is it, but it is also more expensive than the others. Hagerty has reported huge increases in SRT8 values and predicts the trend to continue—by the end of this summer, it may have been underpriced!
