A unique piece of Corvette history.
This is a one owner, all original numbers matching, 1967 stingray has been hidden away in a garage since the 1981 logging only 57k original miles. In 2021it emerged for the first time in nearly 40 years and was promptly decided to keep the Vette as a survivor and fix only what was necessary to get it road worthy, preserving as much originality as possible.
Restoration was kept simple. The engine, transmission, driveline, brakes, and fuel system all got inspected and repairs were completed to get the car in running and driving condition.
The car drives and behaves exactly like a 67 Corvette should, three pumps of the gas and it fires right up on a cold start, no gas pedal needed on a hot start. The suspension feels great, no clunks or rattles and rides smooth. The manual 4-speed shifts beautifully with ample stopping power from the brakes.
The car has its Original 327-350 HP L79 engine, 4 speed manual transmission and original rally wheels and trim rings.
Odometer currently reads 57,640 miles. We received the original title form 1967 as well as it original owner history along with lots of receipt history. It does have the original Protecto Plate. Very Rare, Factory Red with Red interior. Matching #s 327/ 350 hp engine. M21 Muncie 4 speed transmission. Completely original under the hood (with the exception of a new water pump/ hoses and distributor). Original (rebuilt) Holley carb. Correct air cleaner. Correct upper and lower ignition shielding. Paint code 974, Rally Red. Paint is in great shape with some very small imperfections and paint touch ups. Nice body with bonding strips intact. Body weather stripping is in great shape all round. Original front and rear chrome bumpers in excellent condition. The original convertible soft top and frame is ready for a top replacement and has the factory hard top. Trim code 407, Red vinyl interior. Original seat covers and door panels. Nice carpet. Nice original dash pads which are in great shape. Factory gauges and shifter. Factory radio.
This is incredible example of an original mid- year with numbers matching and its original protections plate, owner history and lots of service paperwork. Everything works as it should (except for the clock). All this car needs is a new owner to take it out to enjoy.
