For Sale: 1970 Chevrolet Corvette in Mooresville, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

HIGHLIGHTS: Unbelievable 1970 Chevrolet Corvette Restomod! This C3 Corvette is as clean as can be, with mighty and tasteful upgrades integrated throughout! Fuel injected LT-1 direct injection engine and a 6-speed manual! So many upgrades and beautiful workmanship! Frame-off restoration + customization!

BODY OVERVIEW: The body on this Corvette is clean, straight, and nearly flawless. This is a car that has truly been taken to the next level! The edges are crisp and the body lines are straight. The bumpers have been tucked for a cleaner appearance, and just like everything else done to this car this was no simple task. For instance, the front bumper was cut in half, altered to tuck better, welded back together, chromed, and installed.

PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: Finished in Admiral Blue, the paint on this Corvette is simply stunning. The paint is slick with a deep gloss and a tasteful metallic finish; just enough to catch your eye but not enough to blind you. The paint job is high-quality that shows well, with little to no defects to be found. This color suits the styling of the 1970 Corvette extremely well, but also hints that there's more to this car than a 4-speed and a small block.

INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The goal for this car was to end up with a highly modified example that didn't disrespect or stray too far from the original styling. The black leather interior has been restored largely to original specifications, with the most notable modifications being the original-look modern stereo, the six-speed shift pattern plate, and the Dakota Digital gauges (which are analog with digital readouts including odometer). It even has a tilt column and air conditioning! The interior is in fantastic condition, with only 803 miles covered since the car was built.

Everything on this car has been done right-the digital readout on the gauges even indicates when the parking brake is on! Dynamat was installed under the carpet for reduced road noise and general sound deadening. The windows were tinted for privacy and that tint looks great against the blue paint! Last but not least, the fiber optic bulb indicators have been upgraded with LEDs wired into the lights and signals so that they are bright, vibrant, and operate similarly to how the original fiber optis did.

MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: If you're not already excited about this car, what's under the hood is where the excitement should begin. The engine is a direct-injected 6.2L LT-1 V8, pulled from a 2016 Camaro with less than 100 miles on it. This engine is a great choice for this car, providing ample power, fast starting, and amenities such as power steering and A/C. Customized with blue painted components and Corvette engine covers, this puppy looks right at home sitting in the engine bay of this Corvette. The installation is top notch, with all wiring and hoses tucked away and nicely finessed in place. If one didn't know any better, it almost looks like it belongs! But wait, there's more! The engine is hooked up to a Borla dual exhaust system and a 6-speed Tremec T56 transmission. Other mechanical upgrades include the following:

-Z06 Corvette 6-piston disc brakes on all four corners
-Forgeline wheels, clearcoated prior to installation
-Michelin tires
-Electric gas pedal (drive by wire)
-Detroit Speed electric wiper motor
-Detroit Speed electric headlight motors
-Detroit Speed Hydroformed chassis (front & rear)
-Rebuilt rear end with 4.11 gears
-Aluminum radiator
-American Autowire harnesses
-Spectre engine ECM wiring harness
-Vintage Air A/C and heat
-New driveshaft
-Detroit Speed coilover shocks & suspension
-Custom original-style 6-speed shifter

WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The drivetrain, let alone all the other high-quality upgrades!

WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: This one is VERY hard to nitpick. That being said, the clutch is a little on the stiffer side.

DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? Turn-key, baby!

WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? The buyer for this car is likely someone who was looking to have something similar built, but knows that doing so could cost north of $200k if done right. This car is done, discounted, and ready to go! All it needs is a new owner.
