Yes Chevy had the Nomad but Ford was not to be out done. The Blue
Oval created the 1956 Parklane Wagon and we are proud to have this
rarely-seen 1956 Ford Parklane Wagon in our showroom. This car just
screams of life in the 1950s and instantly takes you back to a
world that was much simpler. It has been a rolling restoration
enjoyed by the previous owner for the past 20 years. The power
comes from a correct Thunderbird 292 Y Block V8 4 bbl that sounds
great whether just idling or running at speed with the custom dual
exhaust and the correct Ford-O-Matic 3 speed automatic
transmission. Here is an interesting note; the rear end is a 3.53
Dana 44 open. This was only available for 55, 56, and early 57
cars, that's a new one on us. Inside is clean and neat as they come
and it includes, for your driving pleasure, newer 134a Air
Conditioning. Optional Power steering helps with the steering.
Outside, the wagon is painted in a high quality two-tone scheme in
correct Bermuda Blue with Diamond Blue and the two tone Blue
interior that absolutely glistens in the sunlight. All of the
chrome, trim and glass are exceptional, as are the window seals.
Optional dual chrome outside mirrors and window vent shades too.The
drum brakes have recently all been serviced and the shoes replaced.
She sits on painted steel wheels with very rare correct full
hubcaps and wide-white radial tires and rear painted fender skirts.
The windshield wipers are still vacuum powered and working fine.
The steel dash is also painted in Bermuda Blue to match the
exterior surrounding the original gauge cluster all of which work
as they should. It is equipped with the factory AM radio along with
all of the original switches and knobs. Clock doesn't work. The
trunk, with full spare intact, is just like the rest of the car in
like-new condition. The Ranch Wagon is an ultimate family hauler or
road trip classic that showcases all that Ford had to offer in the
Customline series of cars. This example is a fully restored and
upgraded classic station wagon that displays the best in quality,
performance, and curb appeal. Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy
this classic for only
