Vehicle Description
Powerful pony car fastbacks with bold looks are always in style.
But with a fire-breathing 600 horsepower 514ci V8, six-speed stick,
upgraded sports suspension, and competition-ready interior that
also has luxuries like A/C - this 1969 Ford Mustang Fastback
Restomod is a true heart-stopper.
If you want to attract attention, even at an all-Mustang gathering,
a car like this incredible fastback is the perfect tool for the
job. The white paint has a vibrant glow where people can tell there
is something special about this just the luster and shine. The same
goes for the large 17-inch Torq Thrust polished alloy wheels. But
more than just pretty, the overall impression is pretty mean. It
has a dark side where the performance pieces are a high contrast to
the white. This includes the deep chin spoiler, blackout grille,
large hood scoop, rear window slats, and full-width rear spoiler.
It's an overall package that wants to show off both style and
substance. That's because this was a thoughtful multi-year build
completed in 2003. We have a huge binder with over $60k in receipts
documenting the ground-up restoration/transformation. And while we
can tell you all about how awesome it is, this coupe is at the
level where there are also magazine features stores that do that,
too.
The interior gets the full dark side treatment. There are
classic-style pieces that look good, like the doors, dash, and
carpeting. There are some nice additions for comfort, too, like
cold-blowing R134a air conditioning. But really, it's the
performance upgrades you're going to love the most. You've got a
dual set of Corbeau racing bucket seats. They have Simpson
five-point racing harnesses that are connected to a roll bar that
adds strength to the car. There's an upgraded 22-gallon fuel cell,
sports steering wheel, and AutoMeter Sport-Comp gauges. Plus, the
hood tach is a true classic-style head-up display. And have you
counted the gears on that shifter yet?
The engine bay has the tidy look of serious power. This is a 514
cubic-inch big block. More than just huge displacement, this has
been fortified and enhanced with forged 9.8:1 pistons, Eagle rods,
a .640 roller cam, and Cobra Jet aluminum heads. It inhales deeply
as the hood scoop feeds fresh air into a Holley 850 four-barrel
carburetor and Edelbrock Torker II aluminum intake. And this
exhales with serious authority and extra power as the long tube
headers feed the Borla dual exhaust. You'll also sport all the
right supporting components, like a Ron Davis aluminum radiator
with dual electric fans, March pulleys, an MSD 6AL ignition, and
the battery moved to the trunk for better weight distribution. This
is a full power package said to deliver a street-eating 600
horsepower, and the Richmond six-speed manual transmission
w/hydraulic clutch puts you in firm control of it all. Underneath,
you'll spot upgrades from Total Control Products, including the
front suspension, multi-link subframe connectors, and rack & pinion
power steering. Koni shocks, a limited-slip Currie 9-inch rear,
Nitto NT555 ZR-rated tires, and Baer four-wheel power disc brakes
are all part of this handling package.
The sale comes complete with build receipts, restoration photos,
and magazine articles. This Mustang is vintage where you want it;
custom in all the right places; and upgraded to be the baddest
fastback on the road. Call today!!!
