Vehicle Description
This 1965 Chevrolet Impala has been under the same care for 20
years. In that time there have been upgrades that made it look
quite distinct, and you'll also appreciate the added function, like
the crate V8 and overdrive transmission.
This coupe has spent two decades with the same owner, and so as you
look over this whole car, you see a little bit of extra care that
comes with long-term ownership. The majority of the work on this
was done about eight years ago where it gained the distinct green
color and the cool white stripes painted on top. It's a cool look,
especially with the purple tint on the windows. Of course with its
age we understand if you want to make updates. After all, the '65
remains an in-demand car since it debuted. The longer/sleeker style
where even the taillights reached out from the body. And this
example gets the fundamentals right where fender lines remain
crisp, doors close with confidence, body gaps are decent, and the
brightwork is complete. And of course, you recognize some street
machine attitude with large dual exhaust tips, dual aerial stands,
and 18-inch Vision wheels.
A custom interior was also done around the same time as the paint.
It carries a similar cool two-tone green and white on the seats,
door panels, and headliner. There was also plenty of comfort added
with a custom armrest center console, provisions for air
conditioning (will need servicing), and an AM/FM/CD stereo with
modern USB input and subwoofers. Just like the exterior, you may
choose to improve on some areas, but what this always has is that
undeniable attraction of a big full-size coupe that has room for
everyone. And when you roll down all the windows on this pillarless
hardtop and go for a cruise, the way the breeze flows and the sound
of the V8 is pure magic.
Under the hood is a 350 cubic-inch crate motor that was around the
same time as the interior and exterior work. It has the right
pieces you want, like a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock
intake, and an aluminum radiator w/dual electric fans. It's a
strong running powerhouse that makes this Impala a great cruiser.
And just to make it even more attractive for driving near or far,
the transmission was also upgraded to a four-speed automatic
w/highway-friendly overdrive. Power steering, power brakes, front
discs, and wide modern sport tires complete a package that was made
for those who really drive their classics.
The sale comes complete with the service manuals and build
receipts. It's the distinct-looking Impala from a very distinct
year. And so when a coupe like this was upgraded for fun, you know
it's time to hit the road. Call now!
