and setting up production for the all new S class that was to be in
production for model year 2000, the W220. However, Mercedes was
smart enough to roll out one last special edition S500 coined the
Grand Edition. This limited production of 600 vehicles is one of
the most desirable W140 and will see huge gains in value over the
next several decades.
We are pleased to bring to market this stunning 1999 S500 Grand
Edition with just 66k miles and in near flawless condition. This
special and limited edition car was sold new out of Calstar Motors
in Glendale California. The car remained in the same State its
entire life with only two previous owners before we received the
car from the past owner of 12years. The car is an absolute joy to
drive and the true experience is when you get on the highway and
really stretch its legs and let the V8 hit its stride. The power
and feel of this car at any speed is a joy to enjoy. These cars
still demand attention and have a very intimidating stance with
size and style. Vehicle has been maintained and serviced routinely
with an open checkbook and is ready for any trip. The Grand Edition
set itself apart from other S500 sedans with; black art line wood
trim, steering wheel, shift knob and center stack, premium
parchment leather interior, 18in AMG monoblock wheels, rear side
sunshades, power rear sunshade, Grand Edition floor mats,
illuminated door sills, CD changer, cellphone and the Obsidian
black paint. Original MSRP was $90,835 when new. Of course it has
plenty of features that were on the S500 and standard such as;
heated front and rear seats, ESP control, electropneumatic door &
trunk closers, dual zone auto climate control, full power front
seats with memory and lumbar, BOSE stereo, and side airbags.
Vehicle was just service with fresh fluids and has a large file of
receipts that total well over $20k in maintenance and yearly
repairs to maintain this fabulous vehicle. Vehicle still has the
first aid kit in the rear storage shelf, integrated cell phone in
center console, and the spare and tools that never seem to been
