Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1964 Porsche 356C Coupe.
Exquisitely presented in light ivory over black leather interior,
this is a multiple PCA concours champion, winning both judged shows
and the people's choice award in 2016 and 2017. Long-term
California car under current Atlanta ownership since early 2016.
Per the included COA and kardex, number 217727 was originally Bali
Blue over red leatherette and the original owner was in Portland.
The transmission is the original, numbers-matching unit but the
engine is not.
Just under 3,000 miles since a complete engine rebuild in 2008 by
noted 356 expert Ted Blake in Sacramento (at a cost of over
$16,000, which included a new scat crank and a 12-volt conversion).
2,200 of those miles have been added by the current owner over the
last five years. The engine was built to SC specs (90 hp) and the
transmission was subsequently rebuilt in 2013. Meticulously
maintained with an open checkbook, this 356 feels responsive and
put-together - it runs and drives as well as it looks (despite
being detailed to a concours standard, this is no garage
queen).
The period-correct Leitz luggage rack, cocoa floors mats, new front
seat upholstery in leather, the wood Nardi wheel and a host of
other trim bits and rubbers were added or replaced under current
ownership. Service records dating to the late 1990s, PCA concours
judging sheets, Porsche COA and kardex are included with the
sale.
