For Sale: 1940 Ford Pickup in Lutz, Florida

Vehicle Description

Big block V8 power, a fully upgraded suspension, and a custom/comfy interior are all wrapped in a super-sleek package. And when it also happens to take the form of an iconic 1940 Ford pickup, then you know this is one cool restomod that's out to impress.

There's a lot of history with a 1940 truck. It was the last year we would have these unique pre-WWII classic lines offered in the more modern post-WWII society. And that kind of legacy also makes it the right one for a full restomod upgrade. The Gunmetal Gray paint is a modern clearcoat application with plenty of metallic embedded in it. So this really shows off the iconic curves of the swoopy fenders and alligator hood every time the sunshine finds the sheetmetal. As you get drawn in for a closer look, you'll also love the extra quality in the truck simply by the way the hood, doors, and tailgate all line up nicely when closed. There's plenty of modern style with the deleted front bumper, painted grille, deleted trim, side exhaust tips, and Billet alloy wheels with the extra meaty rear rubber for an awesome stance. They even updated the real wood in the truck bed to have a glossy gray look to coordinate with the paint.

The interior delivers plenty of custom comfort and style while still respecting the vintage atmosphere. For example, you still have the classic bench seat, but it has the kind of plushness that's good for all-day comfort. It has a two-tone gray style that harmonizes with the exterior and sets the tone for the full interior color package. There's gloss paint on the dash, detailed door panel, a nice headliner, and plush carpeting under the protective plastic. So this has a total quality feeling. There's even added comfort from an upgraded AM/FM stereo w/Bluetooth, Kenwood speakers, and provisions for R134a air conditioning (may just need a recharge/servicing to blow ideally cold again.) And it's easy to get comfortable with a Banjo-style steering wheel on a tilt column, Lokar-style floor shifter, and a dash dominated by AutoMeter Carbon Fiber gauges.

The engine bay is stuffed with big block power. Not only do you have a 454 cubic-inch V8, but also it inhales deeper with a Demon four-barrel carburetor and upgraded intake. And the Hooker headers let this exhale with added power and a sweet rumble from the side exhaust. There are even cutouts when you really want to bring the thunder. This is also built with the right pieces, including finned aluminum valve covers and an aluminum radiator with 12-inch electric fan. While you're checking out all the details, save some time to look at the undercarriage photos. It all starts off with a 1947 boxed frame. You'll see the upgraded Mustang II-style independent front suspension, and the four-link rear with adjustable coilovers and stabilizer bar is great to keep those extra wide Mickey Thompson tires in contact with the road. Plus, power steering, power brakes, front discs, and a stout TH400 three speed automatic transmission make for a great all-around package.

This '40 Ford pickup has history, but what you'll really find irresistible is the power, comfort, and poise in this custom build. This truck is actually titled as a 1947 Ford due to the different frame used and will be sold as a 1947 Ford. Call today!!!
