Vehicle Description
The 1967 Chevrolet Impala is the kind of classic we love because
it's a full-size classic hardtop that looks like it wants to own
the road. And with a healthy big block V8 and four-on-the-floor, it
has the stature to back up its substantial style.
This was a great year for the Impala if you were a fan of '60s
style. The design was further enhanced to deliver the curvy
Coke-bottle profile. You especially see it in the kick-up that
starts after the door and flows to the end of the car. And the
sporty fastback roof just seemed to flow with the wind. More than
just curves, there were also crisp lines everywhere, like on top of
the front fender and one running the full length of the car. Add in
form-fitting chrome bumpers, extra-bright wheels, and a shiny red
finish, and you have a car that seems to love being both bold and
stylish.
The golden interior is a nice premium touch. And while this is the
factory-correct color, it also has a freshness that makes it a nice
place to spend some time. New plush carpeting, a taut headliner, a
smooth dash, and reupholstered seats with correct pleats and trim
show an eye for detail. A full-size coupe like this means plenty of
room for family and friends, but a sports coupe like this really
focuses on the driver. A classic/grippy steering wheel, upgraded
auxiliary readouts, and a Hurst floor shifter are the right recipe
for true muscle car fun.
Full-size Impalas like these were great because they knew how to
fit big block powerhouses. This 454 cubic-inch V8 is built with a
Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, and
headers feeding the dual exhaust. The consignor also states the
internals are beefed up with a balanced 427 crank and Thumpr cam
for better revving and 11:1 compression. It also is supported by
good pieces like an HEI ignition and an aluminum radiator. It's a
seriously strong motor, and you get to take full control with the
T10 four-speed manual transmission. The consignor also says this is
reinforced with a Zoom high-performance clutch and pressure plate.
This feeds a strong Yukon 10-bolt rear with Positraction. Powerful
cars like this want you to get a feel for the road, but this also
likes to be an all-around driver. That's why you have power
steering, front disc brakes, and wide BF Goodrich T/As.
Complete with the factory buildsheet, this is a big and sleek coupe
that's made to be a true muscle car cruiser. So if you love a
hardtop of distinction, call today!
