For Sale: 1927 Ford T Bucket in Manitowoc, Wisconsin

Vehicle Description

All vehicle trades considered, including classics and performance.  We can assist with financing and transport as needed.

Cars come in all shapes and sizes, performing all manner of functions.  They can get you to work, take your family on vacation, haul groceries, or many other such tasks.  But this T-bucket exists with just one thing in mind; with a Mercury flathead, 5-speed transmission, and classic hot rod looks, this car is here to have fun.

You won’t find another quite like this one.  Showing 8,500 miles, it is a full custom build using all steel construction with a Texas title that states 1991 Assembled (though most of the work is fairly recent).  The dark bronze paint is in excellent condition and is highlighted by hand pinstriping and graphics.  The black tubular frame and suspension pieces are obviously functional but also add to the car’s appearance.  Same with the suicide doors and black steel wheels.

The drivetrain is a Mercury flathead V8 featuring 8CM heads and an aluminum intake manifold – the essence of any hot rod!  It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission with hydraulic clutch followed by a GM 12-bolt rear.  The 4-wheel drum brakes use a Wilwood dual master cylinder and work great on this light car.  The steering and front suspension is a vintage Ford layout with custom hairpins, while the rear suspension uses adjustable coilovers.  Note this car will easily sustain highway speeds - and beyond.

The interior continues the hot rod theme.  It features twin bucket seats that flank the 5-speed shifter and a custom switch box.  The dash features a custom aluminum panel with a full complement of gauges including dual water temperature units (one for each bank).  There is also a tachometer on the steering column.  The flat bottom steering wheel is detachable and keeps things comfortable for larger drivers.

This ad lists many features and photos of this car, which is not hard to do.  But this one also has a presence that is harder to describe.  It may not be a daily driver, and isn’t well suited for a family of four.  But it offers an entertaining automotive experience that is hard to beat.
