Vehicle Description
GENUINE GTO-PHS DOCUMENTED-FACTORY 4-SPEED! This gorgeous 1965 GTO
wears its factory color code R, Montero Red. It has been repainted
in a base coat clear coat finish which shows very well on a rust
free and straight body. The car was bought new in Mooresville, NC
and stayed in that area until I purchased it in 2016. The fit and
finish is very nice. Some of the stainless and brightwork is
original and showing some very minor aging but still looks good.
The glass has factory tint and is in good condition. Newer weather
strips and seals. It rides on a set of factory Rally I wheels with
new trim rings and center caps wrapped with a set of redline tires.
The engine compartment is nicely detailed and looks impressive with
the correct 1965 tri-power set-up with correct air cleaners and
factory chrome valve covers. Everything is proper and painted
nicely. It features a 4-core Harrison radiator and the correct
clutch fan. It also features a few upgrades such as an HEI ignition
for dependability and a new cadmium plated brake booster. The
engine bay is painted in a nice satin black finish. The interior is
like brand new from the headliner to the carpet and sill plates.
The dash has a nice painted finish. Looking at the tach, gauges and
speedo the lenses are nice and clear. The seats have new cushions
and upholstery. The door panels, front armrest bases, window cranks
and door handles have been replaced. Factory console with factory
original Hurst shifter, front seat belts and factory wood steering
wheel look to be original to the car. The undercarriage is all
clean metal and painted in a satin black finish. The front end was
completely rebuilt and upgraded with front power disc brakes. The
bottom of the motor is clean. The Muncie transmission is clean and
has been completely rebuilt. It has a 3:55 rear end, clean dual
exhaust system with Thrush mufflers, newer gas tank and straps,
rear sway bar and boxed in control arms. The E-brake is all
complete and working. The trunk is very nicely detailed with a coat
of splatter paint, trunk mat, spare tire, spare tire cover, jack
assembly, jacking instructions and new trunk weather stripping.
This is a very nice, documented 1965 GTO! It's the right color with
the right options! Tri-power, power steering, power front disc
brakes, factory tach and gauges, wood steering wheel and Rally I
wheels with redline tires!!
