Vehicle Description
Just arrived from a private Collection.......I am offering for your
consideration what could possibly be the cleanest most desirable
1977 Pontiac Bonneville in existence! I am listing this beauty for
a close friend and fellow Pontiac enthusiast. Let me begin by
saying that I have been a diehard Pontiac collector/restorer for
more than 45 years. I have inspected and driven this Bonneville and
find it to represent a level of authenticity and preservation not
often seen in the classic car world. A true 44 year step back in
time. Based on the unique optioning I would speculate that this was
an "ordered" car when new. Equipped as follows 350 cubic inch 4
barrel "true Pontiac" engine, backed by a Turbo 350 automatic
transmission. 3.08 Positraction rear axle. Air Conditioning, No
excuses, ICE COLD! AM/FM Stereo radio , sounds great. With correct
operating Power antenna. Rare rally gauge cluster . Clock keeps
perfect time. Cruise control, body color Rally mirrors, rally
wheels, fender skirts. Odometer reads 54685 miles . Based on
condition and drive quality is believed to be accurate. And in my
opinion the best color combination , of charcoal grey and argent
silver separated by red accent stripes. What really sets this Bonne
off and makes it "pop" is the lack of a vinyl top. Condition wise
this car is crisp! Tight and smooth. It runs and drives perfect! No
excuses. Starts with the flick of the key, idles smooth and quiet.
Very responsive. Trans shifts smooth. Steering and suspension are
tight. Brakes are smooth and positive. Recently replaced items
include A/C compressor, water pump, master cylinder and muffler.
You WILL not spend a dime . Tires are excellent Good Year
215/75-15. Spare appears to be original . Cosmetically it is a real
head turner. I find what I believe to be 95% original paint. Under
close scrutiny and in the right light there appears to be a blend
in the charcoal paint toward the rear of the drivers door. Possible
scratch repair. Difficult to see in normal conditions. Does not
show up in photos. No aging or crazing in paint. Glossy and smooth.
The chrome and bright work is amazing. Like jewelry. This car was
certainly garaged and sheltered from the elements its entire life.
The driver quarter window trim has a couple of light scratches
adjacent to the door pillar. Possibly from a lockout tool. Very
minor. Interior is immaculate. No wear, stains or fading. Ashtray
has never been used. Factory floor mats are still in place. There
are shadows in some of the photos from a cloudy day. Not fade or
flaws! In summary, classic car prices are escalating at record
levels. These mid to late 70's examples are starting to follow
close behind. Don't miss this opportunity to own this unique piece
of Pontiac history. It is an absolute joy to drive and a real
attention getter everywhere it goes. I have set a very reasonable
reserve for a classic of this caliber. Summer is almost here and
this baby is ready to cruise!
