Vehicle Description
This 1970 Dodge Challenger Convertible is absolutely stunning,
having underwent a complete frame-off rotisserie restoration. The
Challenger was Dodge's Pony Car to compete with Ford's Mustang and
Chevy's Camaro. The body side of Challengers have the familiar
"Coke Bottle" profile, with raised rear fenders that taper down at
the taillights. The grills were low-profile with a scoop-like
opening. It is also worth noting that of the 83,000+ Challengers
produced, only 4,243 were Convertibles which makes this Mopar a
super rare piece of automotive history. This particular Challenger
Convertible comes to us out of Florida, where it spent the past 15+
years. This Dodge Challenger is also an extremely well-documented
example with its original fender tag and broadcast sheet. Under the
R/T-style hood on this Mopar is a strong running 318 Cubic Inch V8
Engine with a Single 2 Barrel Carburetor. The 318 V8 is mated up to
a smooth shifting 3 Speed Automatic Transmission that ensures that
just about anybody can drive this muscle car. This Challenger is
also equipped with factory Power Steering which makes for a much
more enjoyable car to go for cruising. This E-Body Challenger was
re-finished in its original color, Sublime Green (Code FJ5). The
sides of this particular Challenger are also adorned with R/T-style
decal striping. This Dodge sits on 4 Mopar Rally Rims and
BFGoodrich Radial T/A Tires making for a smooth ride going down the
road. The White Vinyl Power Convertible Top with glass rear window
is in superb condition and it goes up and down with a quick toggle
of a switch mounted on the dash. As you can see in the photos of
this car, the underside is exceptionally clean. The White Vinyl
High-Back Bucket Seat Interior is a beautiful compliment to the
stunning Sublime exterior. This Challenger is equipped with a
center console and an upgraded JVC entertainment system so that you
can listen to all of your tunes while cruising down the road. The
dash, door panels, and steering wheel all appear to be in their
stock configuration. The instrument cluster features a water
temperature gauge, amp gauge, electric clock, fuel gauge, and
Speedometer, as well as the various other controls for the car. If
you're looking for a well-done, documented Mopar Convertible, this
1970 Dodge Challenger Convertible is the car for you. Give us a
