Vehicle Description
This 1928 Ford Model Tudor sedan takes the classic Henry Ford steel
body and gives it a full upgrade to a street machine style. So
you'll love the V8 power, A/C interior, and thoughtfully done
custom green package that makes all of this a detailed build over
every inch (even the undercarriage.)
This build is about 30 years old, but you would not know that from
the first impression. That's because it was built as a labor of
love, and then also sold to someone who respected it just as much
(he kept it for over 20 years.) That's why this one continues to
look so smooth today. This custom build started with Henry Ford
steel, and then added a ton of sleekness. That means a custom hood,
shaved door handles, and a chopped top. Of course, those classic
skinny tires would never do on a car like this so fiberglass
running boards were added to allow for wide modern rubber and this
awesomely aggressive stance. The paint is a quality Sikkens
application that was so comprehensively done that you'll even enjoy
putting a mirror under this Ford. But possibly our favorite part of
the paint is the clearcoat they put on top. It has a golden pearl
tone that adds an extra dimension to the finish every time the
sunshine finds this car. And because this is a detail-oriented
build, you'll appreciate the little things. It's in the full
pinstriping that also spells out the car's year on the rear. The
custom rear panel not only has a frenched license plate but also
flush-mounted tail lights for added sleekness. And the sunshade has
a modern smooth look against the roof, and at the same time, it
pays tribute to the nearly century-old style that this car still
represents.
The full tweed interior is both stylish and comfy. There are
desirable upgrades like the power windows and cold-blowing air
conditioning. Little items like the AM/FM/cassette radio in mounted
in the overhead console are indicators of the build's age. But it
will be easy to update to a modern Bluetooth radio if you really
want. After all, the true appeal here is a classic with an upgraded
driver's attitude. That's why you get the high-back front bucket
seats, sports steering wheel, tilt steering column, floor shifter,
and a dash dominated by bright digital gauges.
We love it when a classic Ford gets upgraded with blue oval power
under the hood. The 302 cubic-inch V8 was decades away when this
Model T was first built, but today it properly fills the engine bay
with plenty of added flair. It looks like they couldn't stuff any
more power in here, and that seems about right. This V8 was built
correctly with upgrades like a Holley double pumper four-barrel
carburetor, Mallory distributor, and shorty headers feeding the
dual exhaust. As you look underneath, it's a clean presentation
with a polished four-link front end and a triangulated four-link
rear with adjustable coilovers. Plus, the C4 three-speed automatic
transmission, power brakes, and front discs make for an all-around
solid cruiser.
