Vehicle Description
This documented 1965 GTO was the subject of a well-done restoration
with virtually every nut and bolt completely rebuilt and restored.
The car is a show car from every angle and is highly documented.
The no-expense-spared restoration started with a rust-free and
matching-numbers original car. Full paperwork from Pontiac
Historical Services was obtained to confirm the car was pure.
According to the PHS paperwork, it was built the second week of
April 1965, and was finished in its original factory GTO code 213-B
Charcoal Blue over a black interior. Powering this GTO is a 389ci
V8 engine mated to an automatic transmission. Factory options and
features on this GTO include power steering, power windows, AM
radio, power top, heater/defroster and bucket seats. All the engine
stampings are original and correspond to this car, as are the
embossing and other details. The engine, transmission and rear end
are all correct and original to this car, and the frame and body
panels are also all original with correct markings and details.
Every panel, gap, painted surface and engine component looks like
new, resulting in a concours-quality GTO. Included with the car is
a copy of the original factory build card, a three-ring binder that
documents the restoration, owner's manual and all receipts.
