Vehicle Description
CPR Classic is delighted to offer this gorgeous 1990 Porsche 964 C4
Coupe finished in Black over a black leather interior. This example
has covered just 42,000 miles throughout its life and remains
wholly original, having lived with three long-term owners since
new.
The car was delivered to Clifton, New Jersey, in early May of 1990.
It resided with its first owner for just over eleven years,
covering 23,000 miles before being sold in late May of 2001 to its
second owner, a Santa Rosa, California resident. The car was with
the second owner from May of 2001 until July of 2015 and was only
driven 7,000 miles that 14-year span. The car was then sold to its
third and most recent owner in 2015, a Los Angeles-based enthusiast
who enjoyed the car over the past five years, adding 12,000 miles.
During the most recent ownership, the car was regularly serviced
and maintained by Sublime Silverlake Independent Porsche Repair in
Los Angeles.
Upon arrival to CPR Classic in May of 2021, the car was thoroughly
inspected and serviced. The paint, which meters as original at
3.5-6.2 mils throughout, was lightly color sanded and corrected to
remove minor imperfections that black paint sometimes tends to
develop. Mechanically, this 964 is outstanding. The undercarriage
is sanitary, showing no corrosion or damage, and retains its
factory cosmoline coating. The car starts and runs wonderfully and
drives even better. The suspension has been set up to European ride
height for improved performance and a more desirable look. The only
other modification to the car is a primary muffler bypass which
adds a bit of grunt to the engine sound without being too loud or
creating a drone. The factory muffler remains with the car and can
be reinstalled at no charge if the new owner prefers. CPR can also
return the vehicle to factory US ride height specifications if the
next owner chooses.
The car was optioned from the factory as follows:
158 - Cassette-radio Blaupunkt Reno SQR 46
425 - Rear window wiper
494 - Amplifier
650 - Sun-moon-roof
Porsche 964s have become incredibly difficult to find on the open
market in the past few years. High quality, low mileage examples
are the hardest to find, with only a handful on offer at any given
time. The Porsche 964 is the last 911 to retain the original
aesthetic and silhouette, and as such, has become highly desirable
today. With 964 prices on a notable rise, this example presents as
an excellent opportunity to own an investment-grade Porsche that
will undoubtedly continue to appreciate over the coming years but
that you can also play with and enjoy worry-free. Don't miss this
outstanding Porsche 964.
