Vehicle Description
1939 Chevrolet Master 85 Business Coupe
Replacing the Chevrolet Eagle in 1933 was the Master and Master
Deluxe line. This was an interesting time for vehicles as they
still had prominent fenders but we started to see them being more
integrated into the body and lead into the look of the 40s
vehicles. This 1939 Chevy Coupe is an all original car and is in
excellent condition. It was clearly restored at some point in its
life and runs/drives like a fully restored car. The slick Black
paint is in great condition and this car doesn't have a spot of
rust anywhere. The fit and finish is very high quality. The chrome
is in great condition as well as is all of the trim, etc. The glass
is all good and it has the two piece windshield up front. The car
rides on its original Black wheels with Chevrolet Hubcaps wrapped
in Deluxe wide white wall tires.
Under the 2 piece hood is the cars original 6 cylinder motor. It
fires right up and runs great. The car really does cruise down the
road nicely. Paired with the motor is its original 3 speed manual
transmission that sends power back through the enclosed driveshaft
to the stock rear end. The undercarriage of the car is very clean
especially considering it is a 82 year old car. The floors are
solid with no issues.
The interior has been kept all original as well. It has its
original style upholstery with a split bench seat. It is a business
coupe so in back is the extra storage which was very important for
salesmen back in the day. The beige dash has the original layout,
original gauges, and even has the original style fan mounted to the
center of the dash.
If you could travel back in time to 1939 to visit a Chevy dealer
this car is exactly what you would fine. It truly is a well
preserved and restored timepiece that might even be nicer than when
it rolled off the factory line.
