This 1992 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is a true Heritage Edition model
built to celebrate 25 years of the Camaro. It's finished in its
correct one-year color, and it's also loaded with features. So it
makes for a rare, speedy, and all-around desirable collectible.
The Purple Haze paint is a seldom-seen color. It was made available
only on the 1992 car, and this was the final year for the 3rd
generation Camaro. The Z03 in the trim tag tells us that this is a
true Heritage Edition model celebrating the 25th anniversary. Are
you starting to understand the distinction here? When you combine
all of its unique elements, this Z/28 is believed to be one of only
55 ever made. The special paint was resprayed later in life to
still have a proper shine while also having the aged-in look of a
survivor. Plus, you have all the right Z/28 features, like the dual
power bulges in the hood, factory body kit, and large rear spoiler.
And this Heritage Edition has a special set of silver racing
stripes that really seem to complement the Z/28's 16-inch
alloys.
When you look inside, you know this Camaro's distinctiveness goes
far beyond the 25th Anniversary badge on the dash. You can tell by
the condition of the leather seats. They have a well-done look that
shows less wear than the actual mileage odometer would suggest.
This is loaded with great features like a power driver's seat,
power windows, power locks, power mirrors, a tilt steering column,
cruise control, driver's airbag, and factory air conditioning (it
likely needs a recharge to blow cold again.) The only upgrade
you're likely to spot is the AM/FM/CD stereo with USB input. It
means you can even plug your iPhone into this classic Heritage
Camaro.
Under the hood is where this Camaro becomes even more desirable. It
has the optional L98 350 cubic-inch fuel-injected V8 that was
shared with the Corvette. This was the true performance powerplant
from Chevy at the time, and it's one of the first things people
look for in collectability. This V8 could only be mated to the
stout 700R4 four-speed automatic because the motor made too much
power for GM's five-speed manual of the day. The overdrive
transmission also makes this coupe the perfect cruiser, when paired
with the power steering, sports suspension, and four-wheel power
disc brakes.
Complete with the factory buildsheet, this is the strong-running
coupe that's also a true rarity. Who knew this level of distinction
could also be so affordable? Call today!!!
