For Sale: 2008 Land Rover Range Rover in Torrance, California

Vehicle Description

West Coast Classics are proud to present this top-of-the-range 2008 Land Rover Range Rover powered by a supercharged 4.2-liter V8 and mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and two-speed transfer case. It is finished in its original #39;Gray Metallic #39; factory color paint over Black leather. Additional equipment includes an electronic Torsen center differential, 20 wheels, air suspension, bi-xenon headlights, parking assist, tri-zone automatic climate control, heated and ventilated power-adjustable front seats, navigation, and a Harman Kardon audio system and this very desirable L322 model has some 87k miles. The 2008-2009 models are generally believed to be by far and away the best of the L322 generation. The electronics are further refined from the early, BMW-era cars, the interiors refined and the Jaguar sourced 4.2L engine does not have the timing chain issues found in the 2010-2012 era 5.0L engine. This truck is finished in its very striking original #39;Gray Metallic #39; color and features a Supercharged-specific silver mesh grille, side vents, and dual exhaust outlets. Additional exterior details include adaptive bi-xenon headlights with washers, front and rear fog lights, rain sensing wipers, parking assist, running boards, a power sunroof, a rear wiper, and a receiver hitch. Silver-finished 20 quot; nine-spoke wheels are fitted with new Pirelli tires. Stopping power is provided by Brembo calipers up front and vented discs at each corner. The truck is equipped with air suspension, Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD), and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC).The interior features seating upholstered in Black leather and Grand Lacquer wood trim accents the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Amenities include cruise control, tri-zone automatic climate control, heated and ventilated power-adjustable front seats, heated rear seats, a split-dual glovebox, a Terrain Response system selector, air suspension controls, navigation, and a Harman Kardon digital surround-sound system with six-disc CD changer. The multifunction steering wheel frames the speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The 4.2-liter supercharged V8 produced 400 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to all four wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel-drive system with a two-speed transfer case and electronic Torsen center differential. For those you who arent aware why these are so valuable, the L322 chassis came out in 2003 (in the States anyway). It was LRs first unibody chassis, something that BMW absolutely knocked out of the park (as opposed to the double-duper full unibody on full frame design of the sports and LR3/4s that made it all the way until 2016, this is why some sports weigh 5,700lbs and some LR4s weigh 6,000lbs).The 2003-2005 cars came with BMW V8s, which are considered an absolute nightmare and not worth purchasing at any cost, the interiors seem horrendously dated, and even the exterior while very similar just doesnt have the nice tweaks the later cars did. By 2006 - 2009 the rigs were now special in that they got the JLR 4.4. NA and 4.2 SC motors. These are based on the American Buick pushrod V8, and besides for some wacky coolant lines (blasted Y pipe) they are absolutely bulletproof. 250k engines with oil changes for sure, no wacky timing stuff.2006 was a weird year, the cars had the updated exterior, engines, some electronics but the old style interiors and probably best to avoid since they dont really cost much less than a much better 2007. The 2010-2012 cars can be a nightmare on the level of criminality with the catalytic converters, water pumped and timing on the 2010 and some 2011 cars reportedly having a virtual 100% failure rate right around 100k miles (fewer for the water pumps). This is the same on the sports and applicable LR4s. The 2007-2009 FF Range Rover has NONE of these issues, besides some regular EAS stuff. They are AWESOME and deserve status up there as Classics along with the FJ60s. This is one such model.
