this 1972 year model (8/72 built) Mercedes-Benz 280SEL (W108.067
Series) 4.5L V8 Sedan (built between the dates 4/71-11/72) and
obviously always coveted with no signs of any accidents and owned
by only two very careful and mature owners, with the second owner
having owned the car for some 18 years until this year when we
acquired the car. The car was ordered and still retains it #39;s
original #39;Light Beige #39; (Color Code 181) factory color paint
which is matched to it #39;s original #39;Dark Brown #39; MB-Tex
interior and which boasts factory air conditioning, sunroof, power
front disc brakes, books, build sheet/card amp; records!The car is
an original US import version and mostly still in all original
condition with the highly desirable 4.5L/230HP V8 cylinder engine
and this is a car loaded with factory options including power
steering, power front disc brakes, power windows, air conditioning,
central locking, matching factory color Mercedes hub cap wheels
centers, stunning and all original #39;Dark Brown #39;MB-Tex #39;
(which is a high quality Mercedes produced vinyl seating, which is
technically a leatherette and very close to leather, but notorious
for being much easier to maintain and extremely durable) interior
with matching carpet and kick panel carpet and heat absorbing glass
and central locking! Please note that the car #39;s original radio
has been replaced with an after market cassette player.The car
reportedly has had only two owners until the year 2021 and it has
no cracks in the original dashboard or wood veneer, exceptional
condition chrome, including both front and rear bumpers and all the
typical rust-prone areas are rust-free and there are no signs of
any accidents or damage whatsoever! This car is a true stock
survivor and must be seen to be seen and driven to be fully
appreciated - the engine is extremely strong and responsive with
excellent oil pressure and no oil leaks and which sounds absolutely
magnificent and the recently rebuilt transmission shifts smoothly
through the gears and the engine temperature always remains cool.
All the options are working as they should including all the power
options and the ice cold air conditioning. Please note that the car
was serviced at the Mercedes-Benz dealership of Winston-Salem, NC
and other dealerships since new!This is one exceptionally fine
