Vehicle Description
It's hard to believe that you can upgrade a military HUMVEE for
added ruggedness, but this 1994 AM General Hummer Predator ATRV-6
really impresses with a total quality built that adds a ton of
ability, extra prowess, and even a diesel upgrade that delivers a
massive 500 horsepower and 1,000 ft/lbs of torque. Plus, this full
custom will surprise you with added practicality everywhere from
the A/C interior to increasing seating by 50 percent.
It's kind of hard not to get excited about an ex-military Hummer.
But the people at Predator see that as a base for the true ultimate
off-roader. They re-build, re-engineer, and re-imagine the full
setup to create one of the most awesome 4x4s around. The fact that
it also looks like it eats Jeeps for a light snack is just an added
benefit. After all, when a vehicle is dipped in a full Black Kevlar
Liner paint, it has the kind or ruggedness that makes a wrecking
ball jealous. You even have a full custom exoskeleton with a
comprehensive tubular steel brush guard, and so brick walls aren't
going to put up much of a fight. But while there are plenty of fun
comparisons to the heaviest equipment around, you really know that
this specialty build has no equal. Also, don't forget to take a
little time to appreciate the added practicality the ATRV-6 adds.
There are plenty of vehicles that have upgraded LED headlights, but
this one delivers 360-degree LED brightness that can turn night
into day. A 12k Warn front winch is always nice to have on a 4x4,
but Predator also crafts a custom rear bumper so that it integrates
a rear winch, too. There's also a proper trailer hitch, which you
don't get on a military HUMVEE. And not only do those upgraded
20-inch wheels look awesome, but also they allow you to have a
wider array of modern tires mounted on this one.
You have a full choice of ways you can roll in this Predator
ATRV-6. You can have half doors, full doors, or no doors. There's
also a bikini top, full wagon enclosure, or no roof at all. So it's
your choice to be an enclosed machine or fully open to the world
(and everything in-between.) In an ex-military vehicle, it's often
a no-brainer about keeping as much open as possible, because you
need the most ventilation. But this one is filled with the right
comforts, including cold-blowing air conditioning. There's also a
full Infinity sound system with AM/FM Bluetooth stereo. And this
has an iPod mounted by the driver that serves as a touchscreen to
run everything from the LED lights to the remote start feature. And
just in case you were wondering, the ATRV stands for All Terrain
Reconnaissance Vehicle. The "6" in the name refers to how they
upgraded the capacity to six total, and everyone gets Corbeau
Racing seats.
Under the hood might just be one of the best upgrades of them all.
The 6.6-liter Duramax LLY turbodiesel was never made available to
the military HUMVEE, but this modern powerhouse now lives under the
hood here. It's a 32-valve design with high-pressure common-rail
direct injection, which makes them awesome right out of the box.
But they take it a step further with Predator's tuning, including a
Raptorq computer upgrade. So now it's said to be a beastly
powerhouse with 500 horsepower and 1,000 ft/lbs of torque. The big
torque of the diesel lets this 4x4 climb mountains, and the tall
snorkel lets you get deep into the streams. Plus, there are more
upgrades, including the Alpha brake kit and HD 12K half shafts. But
even when you're just dominating the pavement, this one is built
right with the strong Alison six-speed automatic transmission,
power steering, and four-wheel power disc brakes.
Predator says this is a 120 mph Hummer with the strength that can
pull a semi-truck. Oh yeah, this is the true ultimate machine, and
so you know you need to be at the helm. Call today!!!
