Vehicle Description
You can instantly tell that this 1956 Chevrolet 3100 is a
custom-built pickup. So you'll love the strong V8, four-wheel disc
brakes, updated suspension, bucket seat interior, shining style,
and all the other work that has gone into this Chevy. But even with
all the upgrades, you'll always appreciate the underlying vintage
appeal that keeps shining through.
This truck certainly has the look of something special. The orange
and silver are a well-contrasted two-tone that unite through a
shared metallic element. And while the crisp lines of this pickup
can often serve as a dividing line, there's a distinct lime green
pinstripe to give the colors a distinct border. This is a true
classic with a brightwork package that includes a solid investment
in the wraparound chrome bumpers and grille to keep them shining
brilliantly. You'll even find extra chrome in upgrades like the
headlight half covers and 15-inch wheels. But even with all the
additions, there's that right hint of classic pickup. You see it
everywhere from the real wood truck bed, to the windshield
overhang. And the 3100 badges appear almost unrestored to give that
right hint or remembering this custom pickup's workman roots.
Inside are plenty of reminders that this custom build has comfort
and quality in mind. There are nicely bolstered bucket seats with a
center console in-between. The upholstery also matches the door
panels, and the exterior orange returns on the door tops, dash, and
carpeting. There's even a touch of silver on the dash. It makes for
a very thoughtful total package. Plus, there are some worthwhile
upgrades, like power windows, cup holders, and a full monitor
system. There's also provisions for a subwoofer stereo and R134a
air conditioning (they will need servicing to full function again.)
You'll enjoy slipping behind the chrome steering wheel that's
mounted on a tilt column. It gives you a good view to the full
digital gauge cluster now in the original fan-style housing.
Under the hood is a 350 cubic-inch crate V8. It's nicely built with
a Summit four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Performer EPS intake
manifold, and headers feeding the dual exhaust. The fundamentals
like the belts, hoses, and wires show this has been given good
care, and you even have an upgraded aluminum radiator. This strong
V8 combines with power steering, four-wheel power disc brakes, a
three-speed automatic transmission, and a new Mustang II-style
independent front end. It makes for quite a desirable upgraded
driver's package.
This is the shining classic with a strong heart and a comfortable
style. That makes for a terrific custom that you need to get in
your garage. Call today!!!
