Vehicle Description
1994 Chevrolet Blazer
The Chevy Blazer was one of Chevy's most popular SUVs, as many
loyal Chevy fans will attest to. Before the name Sport Utility
Vehicle and its acronym were essentially ubiquitous, Chevy built
the 1983 S-10 Blazer to be sportier and more manageable than the
competition, the Ford Bronco, and Jeep Wagoneer. Clearly, Chevy was
onto something because the Blazer helped usher in the lasting trend
of SUVs. In fact, another very popular Chevy SUV, the Tahoe,
actually originated as one of the Blazer's first trims. To the
disappointment of many of its loyal fans, the full-sized Blazer was
discontinued after the 1994 model year.
For consignment, the last year for the big Blazer from the bowtie
company. This example is customized by Custom Craft Vehicles and
has all maintenance up to date and save for a few exterior paint
scratches is in very nice condition. A custom interior with solid
wood accenting, and a 350ci V8 under the hood, fire this one up and
you can sing along with Julie Andrews to the tune of "Climb Every
Mountain!".
Exterior
This big 4x4 sports an exterior custom paint job which utilizes
medium and dark metallic blues, silver accenting, and tinted glass
all around. Layers of these multi colors cover straight steel which
is rust free and even shows up with some custom fades on the
different paint colors. A few large scratches are noted at the rear
portion near the bumper of this truck. Upfront a large grille
sports dual stacked horizontal head lighting and a shiny bumper
with a lower spoiler added on. Flared rocker panels are now on the
sides, and in back a glass upper lift opening, and a lower steel
gate allow access to the cargo area. Below this is a shiny bumper
with like new rubber gripping for your feet on top of it. 16-inch
polished American Racing drilled wheels are wrapped by Hankook
Dynapro ATM deep tread tires all around.
Interior
Behind that tinted glass are gray broadcloth door panels which have
several solid wood accenting attachments and power toggles and
buttons for the glass, locks, and mirror adjustments. The original
GM dash continues with more use of the solid wood accenting for the
dash front surrounds, mixed with neutral gray molded vinyl for the
remainder of the dash. Broadcloth gray buckets are in front of this
dash and a large center console/storage/cupholder is between the
seats. Gray carpeting is flooding the floors including the clean
cargo area behind the rear bench broadcloth covered seat. Above is
another wood and plastic upper roof console with more storage and
lighting for the front passengers. In back seen within the gray
headliner are dual wood trimmed lights to illuminate the entire
cargo area, which includes the broadcloth covered spare tire.
Drivetrain
A factory 350ci V8 which is extremely clean and nicely detailed
sits under the large hood. This has EFI, and a 4-speed automatic
4L60E transmission. 3.08 is the axle designation.
Undercarriage
A rust free black painted frame runs around the entire perimeter of
this truck. Rocker fairings are fiberglass and the factory paint
can be seen on the floor pans. Power disc brakes are in front, and
power drums on the back. A Flowmaster single pipe exhaust breaks
apart and forms a dual exit pipe exhaust on either side of the
undercarriage at the rear of the truck.
Drive-Ability
This truck and it's 350 cubes fires right up and driving was a
pleasure. All comfy on the ergonomic front for the interior, smooth
acceleration and bias free panic stopping. Consigner notes that all
new are the alternator, battery, water pump, oil cooler lines,
radiator hoses and exhaust.
A nicely customized exterior paint and inter wood accented large
Blazer which present overall nicely. It runs great and can carry
you and a few of your friends and all of their great easily. Get to
climbin'!
