This 1972 Chevrolet LUV Pickup is a very cool representation of
packing a lot of power in a smaller and lightweight package. So
while the new bold paint will get your attention, it's really the
well-built small block upgrade that will have you love this custom
LUV.
This one represents what's really cool about classics. Chevrolet
started re-branding Isuzu pickups in 1972 to cash in on the compact
import pickup craze. But while this was born with very little
classic Chevy attitude, this custom truck rectifies that by adding
in some muscle car fun. The yellow paint is a vibrant choice much
like getting a Hugger Orange Camaro. And this recent application
has a fresh look and bold style. Plus, black always looks good
against yellow. It also adds some sporty style with the blackout
grille, matte black hood, and a full custom pinstripe package that
even has callouts for the upgrade under the hood. And since this is
still a useful pickup, they made sure the black accenting extended
to upgraded liner paint in the bed.
The interior is built for function with comfort added into the mix.
That's why there's good carpeting, soft materials, and the bench
seat and door panels have even been upgraded to leather. You have a
Grant GT sports steering wheel, a Lokar floor shifter, and the
upgraded Dolphin gauge package gives you a clear picture of what's
going on under the hood.
The LUV trucks were born four-cylinder machines, but in the same
tradition of the best Chevy muscle cars, this pickup was upgraded
to V8 power. It's a well-built 350 cubic-inch V8 with an Edelbrock
AVS2 four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, cast finned valve
covers, and headers feeding a sweet-sounding dual exhaust. It's a
strong-running motor that we would love to have in many different
projects, but in this ultra-light truck, the performance is truly
awesome. The three-speed automatic transmission feeds a 10-bolt
rear end to get the power to the ground. Plus, you have good
control with power brakes and upgraded Wheel Vintiques wheels that
have a classic look but allow for modern sport tires.
Mighty power in a mouse package makes for a terrific performance
machine. So get your hands on a lot of LUV today. Call now!
