Vintage style on the outside, custom comfort on the inside, and a
fuel-injected big block under the hood make this 1962 Chevrolet C10
Restomod the kind of truck where they sweated all the details. And
while there are a ton more investments to tell you about, we bet
you already understand that this is the full custom build that
you've been waiting for.
There's just something awesome about this generation of C10. Chevy
designed these with a large style line that hugs the hood and then
wraps around as it runs the full length of the profile. You can see
it so nicely here thanks to straight panels and the modern
clearcoat luster of the vibrant red paint. Plus, the white that
highlights the trim line on the side gives this one the same kind
of all-American look you get from a Coca-Cola bottle. You can
really tell this is a quality restoration by everything from the
shine of the bumpers to the real wood of the truck bed. But those
20-inch US Mags wheels on a lowered suspension give this a modern
stance that also indicates they invested in more than just vintage
style on this one.
The interior is a fresh and full custom presentation. It goes for a
premium look in a tasteful tan, and nothing says upper-class like
supple leather. This is a thoughtful setup, and you see it in cool
details, like how the carpeting and stitching are done in red to
coordinate with the exterior. This has all the right upgrades, like
a retro-style AM/FM stereo w/USB input, a cup holder center
console, and cold-blowing air conditioning. The seat is contoured
to be all-day comfortable. Plus, you have a wood-rimmed sports
steering wheel on a tilt column, and beyond that is a full set of
Dakota Digital gauges. If that wasn't already an indicator of
something nice in the engine bay, then the well-integrated EFI
display in the center console certainly is.
When you open the hood, the smooth and dark inner walls funnel all
your attention to the radiating heart of power in the middle.
You're looking at a 454 cubic-inch big block V8. It's such a fresh
presentation (believed to have only 200 miles on it since built,)
and we dare you to find another component that can be polished. So
we bet you're imagining all the awards the motor will win you all
on its own. But more than just look seriously awesome, this is
seriously powerful. It's built with aluminum heads, an Edelbrock
air gap intake, and Sanderson headers. It's topped off with a
Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection system that lets you dial
in your power and efficiency. It's also supported by the right
pieces, like a March pulley system, Optima red top battery, and a
Griffin aluminum radiator. GM's TH400 three-speed automatic
transmission is a stout unit, and this one was even rebuilt during
the restoration. It feeds a 12-bolt Auburn limited-slip rear end
with 3.73 Richmond gears for all-around great performance. The
desirable trailing arm rear suspension, power steering, grippy
ZR-rated tire, and CPP upgraded four-wheel power disc brakes
combine for a solid anytime driving package.
This is the fresh build that mixes bold style and serious brawn.
