Vehicle Description
A 1984 Chevrolet Monte Carlo like this is truly an interesting
vehicle. It is one of the sleekest and sportiest versions of a
classic personal coupe. And an early example like this one has some
unique features that will always keep it a standout classic.
This is a pivotal year for the Monte Carlo. The SS just returned
the previous year, and the factory-correct color combo you're
looking at would not continue after 1984. This is particularly
important as you start to see how well coordinated the packaging is
inside and out on this car. The factory-correct white remains
bright thanks to a respray later in life. The wraparound blue/gray
striping with built-in fade is still quite correct. The sporty
urethane chin spoiler and unique nose give the SS its
NASCAR-inspired attitude and an understated deck lid spoiler
reinforces the subtle sporty nature.
1984 was the only year for the all-blue interior, and so we are
thrilled to see it so complete and correct. The front bucket seats
have a soft velour and a wide comfy feel that highlight the
individual luxury you want in a Monte Carlo. Other features of this
premium performance car include power windows, power locks, cruise
control, tilt wheel, a center console, and electric rear defogger.
There are also provisions for the Delco AM/FM radio and factory air
conditioning (they will need servicing to fully function again.)
The driver grabs a sporty dual spoke steering wheel, and beyond
that is a full gauge panel, including large tach.
Under the hood is a 305 cubic-inch small block V8. It's a
strong-runner, and the four-barrel carburetor helps create plenty
of old-school muscle car torque. You even get a true dual exhaust
for a nice tune. The three-speed automatic transmission has the
classic Chevy nature of being both stout and smooth. The suspension
is tuned to be entertaining but you can still feel this car's
luxury coupe origins underneath, so it's great for road trips. It
even has power steering and front disc brakes to keep you in
complete control.
The sale comes complete with the right paperwork, including the
factory buildsheet, original warranty card, owner's manual, and
title documentation. Rarely do you get to find an interesting
classic that's this distinct and affordable. That's why you also
know you have to act fast to take it home. Call now!
