For Sale: 1965 Chevrolet El Camino in Concord, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

With slick paint flame-kissed paint, a custom interior, a performance-built 350, and an overall award-winning presentation, this 1965 Chevrolet El Camino restomod represents one of the most show-stopping and thoughtful builds you'll ever see... and it's up for grabs.

This El Camino's name is Eye Candy, and you can see it has earned its distinction from the moment it comes into view. We're told this was built for the 2002 SEMA show, and because it was scrutinized by thousands of professional eyes, you're going to discover a vehicle that was customized over every inch. It starts with the color-shifting Dupont Chromalusion. This chameleon color is a big money application, and it still looks fantastic today since you're looking at a build with less than 4k miles on it. And just in case the paintwork was not bold enough, they also gave it a hot set of flames burning down both sides. The full custom style also includes a fiberglass cowl hood, color-matched hard tonneau cover, and a terrific set of American Racing 18-inch Hopster wheels on a lowered suspension. And while we doubt you'll ever put this stunning El Camino to work ever again, the fully lined truck bed will be a fine place to display all the trophies you'll win.

SEMA cars are a full showcase, and so you have a custom interior, too. It starts with upgraded Seat Source bucket seats finished in supple leather. The dash, center console, door panels, and carpet piping were all done to match this shade of tan for a stylish uniform presentation. You've got a full performance setup with a leather-wrapped Lecarra steering wheel, tilt steering column, B&M Street Bandit shifter, a full set of AutoMeter Ultra-Lite gauges - including a large speedo and tach. So while this has an AM/FM/CD stereo with CD changer and USB input, we really know your favorite soundtrack is going to be the rumble this custom Chevy makes.

The engine bay has the unmistakable sight of something both fresh and powerful. This is a 350 cubic-inch V8. It's built with the right pieces, like forged pistons, Comp Cams solid roller camshaft, AFR aluminum heads, Edelbrock intake, and topped with a Barry Grant Race Demon four-barrel carburetor. The Hooker long tube headers allow the mighty motor to exhale with added power and authority as it feeds the H-pipe dual exhaust. This also has the right supporting components, like steel braided lines w/AN fittings, an MSD ignition, and a large aluminum radiator. The full package is said to make around 440 horsepower, and to confidently handle it, the TH350 three-speed automatic transmission was upgraded with a Continental 10-inch converter. This feeds a stout 12-bolt rear end. Add in Hotchkis suspension upgrades, power steering, power brakes, and four-wheel discs, and you start to see how this is a great package for show and go.

You're looking at the award-worthy El Camino we all want. So if you're quick enough to grab this deal, you'll be the one who has it. Call now!
