This particular Buggie is so cool that it was featured in ?The Dune Buggy Handbook? which is the bible of dune buggies! It?s absolutely beautiful and very rare 1969 Berry Mini T dune buggy that has been completely restored from front to back. It is a true show piece that won 1st place in its class three years in a row at the VW Jamboree. It has a full photo documentation of the very high quality restoration. There are very few Dune Buggy's restored to this quality and craftsmanship. This is one of the most fun little cars to drive and it handles like it is on rails. These were built from 1969 to 1971 by Berry Plasti-Glass Works in Pismo Beach, CA. It was inspired by Henry Ford's, ?Tin Lizzy?. It was a dune buggy that appealed not only to buggistas, but also hot rodders and classic car enthusiasts. It is also told the George Barris helped design this little dune buggy. He built a very similar buggy called the Barris ?T? built from 1969 to 1971. Fully restored in 2018, this little buggy has had a full restoration and is built on a VW chassis. This buggy has a beautiful and striking yellow paint job that looks awesome. It has a new windshield frame and glass. The contrasting black pinstriping came from famous pinstriper, Ron Hernandez, of Arizona. It is a high-quality paint finish with no flaws save for a few small rock chips on the rear fenders that are touched up and some blemishes on the fuel cap. The body is super straight. This buggy rolls on a set of new Yakima GTS radials, size 195/50R15 in front and 235/60R15 in back. Each tire is mounted on a new, body-colored starfish alloy wheel with a chrome beauty ring and center cap. The wheels are in excellent condition while the tires are in very good order. Out back is a rebuilt and chromed 1.3L flat four-cylinder engine from a 1971 Volkswagen. It has dual carburetors and a fully custom and polished exhaust system. The motor is mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Inside, the black bench seat is new and upholstered in tweed with custom yellow piping. The black carpet looks great and is mostly protected by vinyl floor mats. A custom, three-spoke steering wheel greets the driver. The dash is nicely restored with new gauges and everything works including the lights, turn indicators and wipers. This buggy even has a Kenwood AM/FM stereo with CD player nestled in the floorpan under the bench seat on the passenger side.
