For Sale: 1923 Ford T Bucket in Charlotte, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

What do you get when you combine the aesthetic traits of a timeless hot rod with months of planning and building? This incredible Ford T-Bucket! Mixing the universal appeal of SoCal style with the road going prowess of a well-massaged custom, this slick classic is an impressive show stopper that provides its owner the best of both worlds. And what's better: you can own and cruise this red hot roadster for a fraction of the money and time it'll take to complete a ground-up project. Looking for a traditional ride that's old school cool? There's nothing better than this striking Ford hot rod!

ORANGE APEEL

Take a close look at this clean custom and you'll find a classically sculpted profile that was massaged to form over the course of many carefully spent bills and many highly skilled hours. Since the build is named Orange Peeler II, is makes perfect sense that the car's lightweight fiberglass bucket and taut fiberglass Turtle Deck sport brilliant orange two-stage. It's pretty much an unspoken rule that all cool T-Buckets have wicked flames, which, on this sizzling Ford, fade crisp white flares into cool blue tips. Finishing touches include billet steps, a painted grille shell and upright glass that's tilted in painted pillars. Safety is enhanced by polished mirrors, polished marker lamps, polished halogen headlights and simple taillights that are fronted by custom mesh. And it all adds up to a delightfully unique showpiece that mixes the gloss of modern craftsmanship with the grit of early hot rodding!

UNIVERSAL PERFORMANCE

Glance between the rails and you'll find a reliable, 350 cubic inch Chevrolet small block that's polished, rebuilt and ready to roll! Revs are created when a tasteful air cleaner floats wind into a chromed Edelbrock Performer EPS intake by way of a chromed Weber 4-barrel. At the perimeter of that intake, cast iron heads tilt chromed valve covers over chromed Roadster Headers, which rumble through chromed side-pipes. A hot, stainless-capped distributor shoots spark through loomed MSD 8MM Heli-Core Solid Suppression cables. At the front of those wires, a traditional V-belt spins polished pulleys in front of a bright alternator, a polished water pump and polished timing components. At the front of those ancillaries, a beefy Walker radiator plays well with corrugated hoses, a flashy pulley fan and a neat Boyce MotoMeter Junior. And the clean orange mill is dotted with first-rate details like an electric choke, sleeved lines, trick dipsticks, a polished block off plate and a quality Lokar throttle linkage.

PROVEN INNOVATION

In keeping with its 'custom but functional' theme, this first class Ford rides a sturdy chassis that's fully boxed under appealing orange pigment. The smooth 350 spins power through a tough Turbo-Hydramatic 350 3-speed, which stacks a polished flywheel cover in front of a polished fluid pan and a finned cooler. Familiar ladder bars align modern coil-overs with a color-keyed pumpkin. Opposite that axle, a fully independent front-clip, known as a twin-tube setup, tilts two more modern coil-overs between traditional hairpins and spry rack-and-pinion steering. Manual stops are provided by big drums and two Wilwood clamped discs. A painted fuel tank, spiced with a billet filler, discretely displays the car's name. Details are on point, with a polished Ahooga Horn joining niceties like a polished filter cover and a polished starter. And all that hardware rolls on sporty alloy blades, which lap 205/50R15 Hankook Ventus V2s in front of 315/35ZR17 Sumitomo HTRs.

SIMPLE AND SWEET

Take a look inside this custom and you'll find a stylishly simple interior that, in the name of timelessness, has been carefully pieced together. The driver and one passenger strap in to leather-trimmed buckets. In front of those seats, a body-matched dash hangs retro AutoMeter telemetry above billet foot pedals. Contrasting carpet floats a polished E-brake and piston-style shifter between simple side panels. And the driver spins a polished and speed-drilled steering wheel that pops off with the press of a button.

Built to be driven AND seen, this sweet Ford is a nicely finished classic that mixes killer personality with awesome curb appeal. Looking for a road ready hot rod that's guaranteed to draw a crowd wherever you go? Your search is officially over!
