Vehicle Description
With slick paint, an aggressive stance, and a muscle car-like
interior, this 1968 Ford F-100 restomod has an awesome speedy look.
So it's a good thing this build also has a 400+ horsepower motor to
deliver on its strapping style. Plus, the five-speed stick, updated
suspension, four wheel discs, and plenty more of all the right
performance upgrades give you the best tools to enjoy it to the
fullest.
The paint is quite a cool presentation. They borrowed the graphite
color from the more modern Fords and finished it off with a
metallic element specifically formulated to add a superior
radiance. It looks so good that they also painted other areas, like
the front bumper and grille. The total effect is a style that
instantly announces this is a modern and custom machine. Everything
looks so good because this restoration was part of a full
professional build that was completed only about 400 miles ago. So
it remains fresh, right down to the details. The clear headlights
give this glowing eyes, there's complete new trim around the body,
and the rear is smooth with a flush roll pan. And the 17-inch Boyd
Coddington wheels are like bright beacons that draw your eye to the
aggressive lowered stance. There's even liner paint in the bed to
go with the tough attitude and/or if you do ever decide to send
this mean pickup in for real truck duty.
The interior is a nice mix of classic pieces and speedy style. The
bench seat has a vintage look, but it's a fresh addition with comfy
velour inserts. You'll slip behind the classic-style wood-rimmed
sports steering wheel, and your right hand will be instantly
attracted to the Hurst shifter. When you twist the key, not only
does this one growl to life, but also the gauges glow with an evil
red, including the digital tach.
The engine bay contains a beastly motor. This is a 331 cubic-inch
stroker V8 from Blueprint Engines. It has been built with go-fast
goodies like a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake,
Edelbrock heads, and long tube headers. The full package is
estimated at 430 horsepower, and the sound out of the Flowmaster
X-pipe dual exhaust let's everyone know this is a powerful pickup.
You're in complete control of it all thanks to a TKO 500 five-speed
manual transmission that now also includes a high performance
clutch and lightened flywheel with mechanical linkage. This feeds a
stout Ford 9-inch Detroit Locker with 3.73 gears. As you look at
the undercarriage photos, you'll also spot other great performance
upgrades, like the ladder bar rear end, Carrera adjustable
coilovers behind each wheel, and four-wheel power disc brakes.
This is the distinct pickup that's also an awesome performance
classic. So if you want it all, call today!
