This 1967 Ford F-100 Custom Cab is a true classic pickup. It's the
kind of sharp but honest vehicle that will look great with a
business name stenciled on the side (no matter if it's your real
business or a farm feed company you make up.) That's just the kind
of true vintage feelings this one loves to inspire.
The trim tag tells us the Holly Green and Wimbledon White is
correct for this truck. It's a later application that strikes the
exact right balance. You get a good gloss you want on a classic,
but it also has the aged-in look that makes it feel like a
well-respected farm truck. The full length trim shows off the
straightness of the sheetmetal, the bed is extra clean, and the
chrome bumpers give this the right flair without being too showy.
It appears honest, right down to the factory wheel covers. It
really feels like the kind of truck that was just a well-respected
local, and in fact the trim tag tells us this was a Charlette DSO
vehicle. So nearly 55 years later, and this is still selling out of
its home territory!
When you open the door, the first thing you're going to notice is
the seat. The green with gray has a classic look. But there's an
unmistakable freshness to this bench, and we know you'll love the
feel of the comfy cloth insert. Plus, the headliner, floor mat, and
dash also have the classic look but fresher feel, too. And because
this is meant to be a comfortable cruiser, you have an added AM/FM
digital tuner. It's a nice upgrade for you driving music, but
nothing here really feels out of place. It's a true classic from
the heat/defrost setup to the thing/grippy steering wheel.
The bold blue block in the dark engine bay draws added attention to
the long block of the inline six. This is an era-correct 240
cubic-inch motor. It has a recently rebuilt carb, and it runs like
a pickup that's ready to hit the road. So while we all know there
are some serious V8s that will fit in this engine bay, we like the
honest and correct power that's already working well today. After
all, these inline motors have a smooth nature, and the
column-shifted three-speed manual transmission gives you a great
vintage way to take proper control.
This is the classic F-100 that's an eye-catcher and a true cruiser.
