For Sale: 1970 Dodge Challenger in Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Vehicle Description

This BEAUTIFUL 1970 Dodge Challenger HEMI tribute car is brought to you by Gashole Garage in Lake Havasu City, AZ.

PRICED TO SELL! This Dodge Challenger is priced to sell. It underwent a meticulous restoration 16 years ago. It has always been stored and covered indoors and it has never been driven in the rain. The rear axle is an 8 ¾ and has larger axle shafts and has a sure grip with 3:91 gearing. The transmission was built by a professional transmission builder in Colorado and fitted with a manual shift valve body and an updated torque converter -- All fabricated to handle the power of the beautiful detailed 528 HEMI that resides under the hood. This engine started its life as a Mopar crate engine. Then the aluminum heads were shipped to Ray Barton where he ported and polished them to his specifications. They were then installed along with a Ray Barton Camshaft. The HEMI was then topped with a Ray Barton intake manifold and a Demon carburetor. All of this new found power air exits through 2" headers and dual 3 inch Flowmaster exhaust. This car is no slouch and is a blast to drive.  It has front disc brakes and drum brakes in the rear. You can easily drive this car to your local shows.

The paint is a stunning tri coat pearl yellow. The body is second to none. The hood was custom made to look like a T/A hood and still fit over the air cleaner as the Ray Barton intake manifold is significantly taller. The interior was also beautifully refinished.

The wheels on this car are also unique as they are American racing torque thrust II. But the rear wheels were custom built to fit the widest tire possible without cutting into or rolling the fenders. The frame rails were also connected under the car to accommodate the torque and traction. All in all the car was labeled a 1.1 with a 1.0 being a trailer queen! It has won best in class at multiple local car shows. And gets the attention it deserves everywhere it goes. Even though it is a light resto mod it still didn't stray from its classic Mopar appearance, and that is something that every Mopar guy can appreciate.
