Very desirable vintage oval window Beetle. It has been restored to
show condition. Very attractive colors, lowered stance and
wheels.
EXTERIOR: Desirable oval window. The body is in outstanding
condition. I don't see any rust, damage or bubbles, it is straight.
Very attractive color for this car. The paint has a very smooth,
glossy finish. All the weather strips, gaskets and fender welts
have been replaced. All of the chrome and stainless trim looks like
new. The running boards have been recovered. Upgraded with Porsche
chrome plated wheels. It has glass headlight lenses, bullet turn
signals and snowflake taillight lenses. The dual chrome tailpipes
reminds me of James Bond machine guns.
INTERIOR: It is practically brand new inside. I can tell the seats
are rebuilt because the cushion is nice and firm. Reupholstered
seats and door panels. The inside metal is all painted smooth Dove
gray. The speedometer looks new. The knobs, steering wheel, window
cranks and handles are all excellent. The white headliner looks
new. It has a tinted visor on a chrome bracket. Down on the floor
it has the correct carpet/rubber mat combination.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The entire compartment was restored to show
quality. All the components look proper and fresh. All the
components appear to be the original German parts- distributor,
carb, fuel pump etc.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Meticulously restored. It's detailed and painted
up just as nice as the outside. The wiring harness looks new.
UNDERSIDE: The pan is pristine and painted gloss black. Looking up
at the motor it looks very clean. The transmission looks brand new.
All the hardware- nuts, bolts, grease fittings look recent. This
car has been restored mechanically. Shocks, axle shafts, heater
tubes, brake lines and hoses look recent. The suspension has been
lowered.
"The People's Car", that is what Volkswagen translates to in
German. That is why it is so popular today too. So many people can
relate to a VW bug. They are a fun little car that has a way of
making people happy. This is an exceptional example because of
condition and looks. Being from the 50s makes it very collectable
too. Enjoy your investment!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
detail.
