Vehicle Description
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1972 Triumph TR6 for
consideration. The car spent much of its life in the pacific
northwest where it was enjoyed many years prior to being relocated
to Minnesota. The car is the desirable "small bumper" body style
and features just 88607 miles, these miles are believed to be
original. It is powered by its 2.5 liter inline 6 cylinder engine,
4 speed manual transmission and rear wheel drive. The car retains
many of its original features including original body panels,
original seat upholstery, original dash with original wood facia,
original door panels, steering wheel, gauges, bumpers etc. The car
has never been pulled apart for restoration, rather it has received
some selective refurbishment including and older repaint. Under the
hood is nice and tidy featuring dual Strongberg side draft carbs,
newer wires, newer booster and master, refurbished radiator and
cardboard shroud.
Recent services include: New clutch kit, new valve seals, reseal of
the transmission, all engine gaskets including head, pan, and valve
cover, new head bolts, carb tune, plugs, wires and fluids. Over
$4300 dollars was spent in September of 2020.
Mechanically, the car does pull strong in every gear, handles well
and brakes straight. It is a spirited driver that gives a true
British open-air motoring experience. The sound, the veal and the
handling is something that any auto enthusiast should experience.
Their traditional design, mechanical reliability and parts
availability make them easy to own and enjoy. For these reasons,
they have become proven investments.
