The Best Muscle Cars is proud to offer 1978 Lincoln Town Car. This
iconic vehicle comes in a brilliant light silver paint job
complimented by a stunning red interior. Powered by the Town Car
the original 460 cubic inch V8 motor mated to a stout automatic
transmission. Features of the vehicle include power brakes, power
windows, power seats, power steering, power locks, working heat,
A/C and much much more! For 1959, Cadillac and Lincoln introduced
the de Ville and Town Car sedan nameplates. Lincoln marketed the
Town Car within its flagship Continental model range, styled as a
formal-roof sedan with extended rear legroom. In place of the
reverse-slant roofline used by Continentals (including
convertibles), the Town Car was styled with a notchback roofline
with a padded vinyl top. In addition to the (slightly) restrained
styling, the change in the roofline was functional, as it allowed
for the rear seat to be moved several inches rearward (to add
legroom) without any modification in wheelbase.
