The Opel GT was a design that was a decade ahead of its time with
styling from many sources. This low production vehicle was very
special to the automotive market and the first two years are
considered the best as they were mostly hand built and less than 4k
were produced and a fraction of those still survive today.
This fully restored 1969 Opel GT in Sun Yellow is a definite head
turner regardless of your car knowledge. The sloped front end and
hand rotating headlight covers match up with smooth and unique
lines. Inside of this car is a factory correct setup with new
leather seats, door panels, dash pad, carpet kit, and steering
wheel. The car shifts nicely and is a joy to drive along with the
looks you get in this special car.
This vehicle retains the 1.1L twin carb setup that is very rare and
highly desirable. Many of these cars were abused and highly
modified when the owners couldn't find anyone to work on them. This
one is a testament to the original with some very minor tweaks of
stereo, and fog lights. The paint and chrome are in excellent shape
along with clean factory spec 13in wheels with newer tires.
Vehicle is ready for the car show circuit, compete in a national
meet or just sit and drive and enjoy when the mood hits you. These
cars have seen a HUGE upswing in values and the experts are
predicting this to be a $50-60k vehicle in the very near
future.
