For Sale: 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Wagon in LAPEER, Michigan

Vehicle Description

1955 Chevrolet, Belair Beauville 4 door 6 passenger Station Wagon, Regal Turquoise and India Ivory.

Will not respond to any kind of "agents" or dealers....don't bother please.

It has the original 265 V8 with Powerglide automatic trans, manual steering, and manual drum brakes. It was built in August 1955 in St Louis with the 265 V8 which was built in Flint, Mi. It has the correct code engine number 0365903 F55F and I believe it is original to the car. It was rebuilt to its original specs around 2013/2014. The paint code is 598 Regal Turquoise and it has been repainted at some point with an India Ivory two-tone roof.

The brakes and master cylinder were replaced in 2017 including a dual-channel master cylinder for safety. The fuel tank and sending unit are new in 2017 and the fuel system was cleaned out. Front suspension was also updated. It also has a full dual exhaust system. All chrome and trim appear to be new or re-chromed.

The interior seats and side panels have been replaced by the prior owner. Was originally Lt Beige Vinyl, now Ivory and turquoise vinyl.

Upgrades since I have owned the car in July, 2018:

Summer 2018

Replaced the u-joints and transmission and differential driveshaft seals.

Added new plugs and wires, and new vacuum advance unit and tune-up.

Summer 2019

I had the headliner and windlace replaced in June and I installed new carpeting with soundproofing mat insulation in July.

July - New rims and tires by Belle Tire. American torque thrust II - 15” X 7” wheels with B F Goodrich Advantage T/A Sport 215 x70R15 tires. Also a new spare tire. At 65,936 miles.

July Added Derale electric fan and new LED taillamps. (much brighter than originals or led replacement bulbs ).

October

Replaced rear axle shaft bearing and seal.

Summer 2020

I added Edelbrock performer manifold and 500 cfm 4 barrel Edelbrock carburetor with electric choke and a phenolic spacer.

I added a Pertronix II electronic module to the distributor and a Pertronix Blaster Coil. Added a set of engine gauges under the dash.

The radio is inoperative but I haven’t attempted to find out why since I don’t usually use the radio when I’m in my old cars, I’d rather listen to the engine and other road sounds.

If you want original I have all the original parts to go with the car including the original rims with radial wide white walls and full wheel covers ( see pictures with wide whites ), intake manifold with Rochester 2 barrel carb, coil, single master cylinder, add on oil filter and points and condenser for distributor.

This car is in very good to excellent condition...seriously.....not like some of the ads I've seen for cars with dents, visible rust on the edges, splitting seams on the seats, and grubby engine compartments that claim to be in excellent condition!!!

I don’t need help selling this car. I will not respond to online offers. Any requests like “  how much will you take for it ? “  or any specific offer will be ignored.  If you are really a buyer and not just a tire kicker or someone looking to find a car you can steal from someone who is desperate to sell ( I am NOT ) then you will want to see the car in person first before making a buy decision. I will remove the ad as soon as I have sold it and deposited the cash in my account, or get tired of the hassle and dealing with no-shows, etc., so if the ad is still here neither has happened yet.
