For Sale: 1969 Chevrolet Corvette in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

26,509 actual miles! 1 owner until he passed away about 4 years ago then the son had the car. It lived in northern California it's entire life. Kept in climate controlled environment. The 350 hp with a 4-speed and 3.70 gears ought to make this a spirited driver.

EXTERIOR: In my opinion the body is amazing. All the gaps are precise, I don't see any damage there's no signs of cracks, shrinking or body work. The doors, headlights, lid for the top fit precisely. It was represented to me as having original paint. The paint looks gorgeous, it is smooth, bright and glossy. The chrome and trim are also shiny and straight. The front bumper and grills fit real nice. It still has the weathershields protecting all 4 original T-3 headlights. It has the optional inserts in the louvers on the fenders. Door handles, rockers and the trim around the windshield is not worn. It has original antenna. In back the bumpers sit level and all the chrome is bright. The windshield is original and very clear. The black convertible top is original, dated 1969 and in very good shape considering it's age. It also has the optional vinyl covered hardtop in very good original condition. 15x8 rally wheels have excellent trim, the BFGoodrich tires look new. The door jambs are very clean with original paint with weatherstrips.

INTERIOR: In my opinion the inside of this car looks practically brand new. I'm not just talking about seat covers and carpet that anyone can change, I'm talking about all the details- handles, vents, bezels, lenses etc. Yes the carpet front to back is excellent. It has original rubber mats and new carpeted mats. The seats are soft leather in pristine shape. The dash pad is mint, no cracks. The gauges look like new, it has the original AM-FM radio. The center console looks practically new including the heater controls, the vent levers, the little tag saying it has 350 horsepower and 380 pounds of torque. It has the correct 4-speed with the reverse lockout. The fiber optic lights work, that's rare. The door panels, door handles and chrome trim are like new. The rear compartment has original jack still in place. The interior lights work, the ashtray and lighter are clean.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Vin # matching 350 with optional 350 horsepower. Original alternator with correct date and code. The original smog pump is still hooked up. It was upgraded with some performance upgrades, the original components are included. It has aluminum heads and intake, both painted orange to look stock. The engine compartment is detailed very carefully. The original chrome air cleaner lid and ignition shielding is bright and shiny. It has polished finned valve covers. The radiator, shroud and fan look excellent.

UNDERSIDE: It is so clean underneath it looks like a frame off restored car. The chassis is all detailed in a smooth semi-gloss black. The front end components look fresh. Rear suspension looks fresh, it has Bilstein shocks all around. The fiberglass floors look pristine. The spare tire carrier is complete. Looking up at the motor it's spotless looking, it has original starter with correct codes and date. Vin # matching Muncie M-21 4-speed. Original 3.70 posi with correct codes. Upgraded with a premium exhaust- all stainless with x-pipe and Magnaflow mufflers. It has disc brakes at all four wheels, the e-brake assembly is hooked up.

The low miles is very believable based on the quality. It isn't just a pretty face, it feels and functions exceptionally well too. Original top, windshield and weatherstrips are strong indicators of low miles. Most low mile cars have patina, this car has been carefully detailed to look like a restored show car. This is one of the premium cars we are all in search of. Don't miss out!
