Vehicle Description
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1964 Nova 400 Wagon for
your consideration. As you can at first glance this car is just
plain awesome. It is powered by its 283 v8 paired with the power
glide automatic transmission and according to the owner they are
numbers matching. The current owner has owned the car for 15 years
and did the restoration himself. The car was originally from
Arkansas. The entire body was sandblasted to bare metal and was
refinished from top to bottom, inside and out. The only original
paint on the car is the dash, this was left untouched. The
signature you see on the ash tray is by John Force from John Force
Racing Team. The custom airbrushed surfboards on the back with
candy and pearl and they represent custom paint styles over the
years.
The factory installed luggage rack was stripped and re-chromed at a
local chrome shop. The car has factory installed air from 1964 and
it blows ice cold. The Nova also has factory tinted glass. Other
highlights include power brakes, power steering, spare tire and
fold down rear seat. The car has 2,000 miles on it since the
restoration.
Mechanically, the car starts right up, pulls strong, tracks
straight and is a proven driver.
First Generation Chevrolet Nova's remain extremely popular in
collector car circles. Many were produced; however, the survival
rate was low. For this reason, quality examples as the one offered
here are few and far between.
