Vehicle Description
Welcome to StreetDreamsTexas as we celebrate our 22nd year in the
classic and muscle car business. Chevrolet's Z/28 Camaro has been
synonymous with 'high performance sports coupe' almost from the
moment the first cars appeared in 1967. Those first generation
(1967-1969) Z/28's were high-strung homologation specials with
destroked small blocks (302 ci) that qualified under the Trans Am
series 305 ci limit. As good as these cars are, however, those in
the know will tell you that the 1970 model is a superior car in
every way. A rule change in the Trans Am series now permitted
post-production destroking, so Chevy used a similar solid lifter
cam and big valve (2.02/1.60), high compression heads on their 350,
resulting in the legendary LT-1 engine. Our striking Mulsanne Blue
(26) 1970 Z/28 is eager to demonstrate the virtues of this potent
mill. Lift the hood an you'll find a rebuilt (8/19), balanced, and
honed LT-1 that was replaced under warranty (EC CE0495, BCN
3970010, BCD E1170). Additional features include power steering,
power front disc brakes, TH400 automatic transmission, console,
correct standard blue interior (715), and the correct 12-bolt rear
end with 3.73 Posi rears (CN 3969341NF, COZ). A previous owner that
painted the car noted all original body panels and all glass but
the windshield is also original (GT, UT, XT). One trip around the
block will reveal a flexible engine with the thrust of a modern car
and a thrilling exhaust note that drivers of newer cars envy. If a
rare, quick, and lovely Camaro is on your wish list, please give us
a call. Street Dreams (830-997-1950) is a full service dealership
