Vehicle Description
This 1982 Jeep CJ7 really maximizes the ruggedness of this iconic
4x4. That means upgraded power, a lifted body, a rugged interior,
and all the best exterior upgrades to make sure you're the one
leading on the trail.
Black paint always looks good on a rugged CJ, and this has an
attractive shine and luster that comes from later application in
life. And you'll even see some extra polish on the grille, side
mirrors, and 15-inch Mickey Thompson wheels. But true ruggedness
means never being too fancy to shy away from the best fun. That's
why this one was built with the outdoor lifestyle in mind. The
front has PIAA lights and a beefy Warn bumper with tow hooks, a
brush guard, and a mounting plate for a winch. The sides show off
the fender flares and the ProComp 3-inch lift. And the Poison
Spyder rock sliders look as beefy as the front bumper. The rear has
diamond plate corner guards, and the accessory rack already holds a
shovel, ax, and Jerry can.
The interior has been done for both comfort and function. The front
seats have been upgraded to racing-style buckets with better
bolstering and seatbelts. There's also an AM/FM/CD stereo
w/Bluetooth, upgraded speakers, and a locking center console with
cup holders. You even have a newer Bestop soft top and full soft
doors. So you can easily decide how much you want to be buttoned up
or open to the world. This Jeep was also built to be a confident
driver. That's why the grippy steering wheel is on a tilt column,
and you have a full gauge package, including a handy tach.
The engine bay looks terrific with the tidy look of solid
investments. At the center is the legendary AMC/Jeep 258 cubic-inch
inline-six motor. This is a long established hardy powerplant, and
this one has been built for added pep. It inhales deeper with a
Holley four-barrel carburetor, and a header lets this exhale with
added freedom and power. There are good supporting components,
including an Optima red top battery. It all makes for a powerhouse
that fires up readily and runs strong. And the five-speed manual
transmission is the ideal way to have firm control over it ll. The
two-speed transfer case, lifted stance, ProComp shocks, Dana 30
front axle, and AMC 20 rear are all part of a stout 4x4 off-road
package. And for those times when you just want to roll through
town, the power steering and front disc brakes make this a
good-looking cruiser.
This CJ7 has all the right upgrades for a robust style that looks
cool on the street and trail. So you know you want to grab this
