Pickup trucks are no longer just for hauling hardware; they have
easily made it into the hot rodding lexicon. Companies are even
making fiberglass bodies, like this gorgeous Viper Red 1934 Ford
Pickup now offered for sale at Art & Speed built by Nomore Street
Rods. They produce high-quality fiberglass bodies with some
practical updates for the sake of appearance and drivability.
The 2-inch-chopped and 4-inch-extended cab features a filled roof,
molded visor, and four-piece hood with the distinctive '34 canted
grille. The truck features a steel bed with stained wood and a
steel, lockable storage box. The running boards and fenders are
fiberglass. All of the chrome, such as the grille and
original-style headlamps, are in show quality condition.
Riding on a painted square-tube chassis, the suspension consists of
a Pete & Jakes 4-inch drop I-Beam with polished four-bar parallel
radius rods and shorty tube shocks. The Ford 9-inch rearend rides
on adjustable coilovers. Power brakes (disc front, drum rear) get
it stopped, while 16-inch Billet Specialties Dragster Wheels with
BF Goodrich tires connect it to the road.
A Ford 302ci V8 with GT40 heads topped with Ford Racing valve
covers, an Edelbrock intake, and Edelbrock carb provide the power.
A serpentine belt drive keeps things running up front, while
high-temp powder-coated headers exit through HTPC exhaust. A
polished oil pan and professionally installed custom A/C lines for
the Vintage Air system provide a little extra bling to the engine
bay. A C4 automatic transmission with a TCI aluminum pan converts
the power to forward motion.
The interior, expertly stitched by M&M Interiors, is a
wide-pleat leather with matching door panels and a German
square-weave carpet. The Banjo steering wheel is also
leather-wrapped. Classic Instrument gauges, a Lokar shifter, power
windows, and a custom Alpine Sound system complete the creature
comforts.
This bright Viper Red '34 Pickup gets awards and turns heads
wherever it goes. It is a well-sorted vehicle with plenty of miles
left to run. Stop by Art & Speed Classic Car Gallery today and take
it for a test spin; we're sure you'll love it.
