1970 Buick Riviera
Car History
Adventure Classics has a gorgeous gold 1970 Buick Riviera for sale
that has a style and stance that is both aggressive and
luxurious.
The 1970 Riviera was fully redesigned and received a final facelift
for the 2nd generation and we believe the 1970 is the best-looking
of the bunch.
Engine & Drivetrain
Pop the hood to see the original, numbers-matching 455 cubic inch
V8 which has been redone and painted in bright factory red paint on
the engine, intake, and valve covers.
It was rated at over 350 horsepower and a huge 500 pounds of torque
which makes it very fast for its size.
It has the proper 455-4 decal on the snorkeled air cleaner lets
everyone know right away at the car shows and it appears to be
almost entirely stock, including the big Rochester 4-barrel
carburetor, factory exhaust manifolds, dual exhaust system, TH400
3-speed automatic transmission, and the beefy 10-bolt rear end
houses highway-friendly gears.
It looks great riding on the Buick Road Wheels and thin white-wall
radials.
Interior
The phrase "lap of luxury" befits the interior in our Buick as it
has soft and cozy two-tone tan/light leather inserts bench seats
with pull down armrest, power steering and brakes, factory soft ray
tinted glass, a dash that set the style for Buick for the next
decade.
It is loaded with options including cold factory A/C, a tilt wheel,
power windows, AM/FM stereo, contrasting rust colored carpet, and
in the rear it has an absolutely huge trunk that is neatly finished
with carpets and has enough room to accommodate almost any luggage
a traveling family might have.
Exterior
Our Buick has laser-straight bodywork with a beautiful gold paint
job and a deep shine. The chrome looks good with massive bumpers
fore and aft, the fender skirts offer a touch of class, the front
grille that was a design feature for the '70 model, factory door
edge guards, factory T-3 headlights, and above all, it was an
"Arizona rust-free car."
