For Sale: 1989 Buick Reatta in Kentwood, Michigan

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1989 Buick Reatta. The Reatta is the first Buick to be advertised as a two-seater since the Model 46 in 1940! It was a handmade luxury sports coupe produced in Lansing, MI from 1988-1991. It sported its own unique body style and was crafted with an attention to hand finishing uncommon for a mass-produced automobile. The assembly was performed at a small series of craft stations, each with a specialized team of workers, rather than a conventional assembly line. After a team had completed their portion of the assembly, the car would be moved by robots to the next station in the series. All of the paintwork was subcontracted to PPG Industries personnel, who performed the work on site. These cars are powered by a 3.8L 170hp V6 and sported a fully independent suspension, 4 wheel disc brakes with ABS, and front wheel drive. It's top speed is electronically limited to 125mph and achieves 18mpg city and 27mpg highway.

This example is finished in Silver and Charcoal over a Maroon interior. The current owner has spent many hours on it fine tuning it and making it stand tall. The 3800 engine(out of a 2003) is supercharged and has been rebuilt 1,000 miles ago. The engine was cleaned up and punched .20 over. The heads were milled. It has a Crowler Cam, 105 pound springs, roller rockers, Gen 5 blower and throttle body, direct injected heads, smaller blower pulley, heads and intake were ported and polished. It has a ZZP re-mapped computer. Other highlights include 16 way drivers seat, tilt wheel, leather interior, new wheels and tires, new front struts, air conditioning. This little luxury rocket ship is sorted and ready for immediate enjoyment.
