Vehicle Description
This 1972 Pontiac Firebird Restomod has a cool custom style inside
and out that gives it a dark heart with a mean red streak. And the
reason why this earns such an intimidating style is because of the
performance-built fuel-injected V8 heart within.
The '72 coupe has become an in-demand car because it's from the few
years when the color-matched endura front end was used to lead the
way. It gave the Firebirds an aggressive look that is only
heightened further by its full midnight style. After all, you now
only get the black paint, but also the blackout grille, blackout
trim, and black rear bumper. There are great classic Pontiac
pieces, like the front air dam, full-width rear spoiler, and the
Formula's awesome twin scoop hood. Plus, there are the right pieces
that signal this is an upgraded restomod while still fitting in
with the dark style. You see it in the dark background of the
upgraded headlights and the modern 20-inch wheel. In fact, these
alloys also kick-off a hint or red seen throughout the car that
really makes this mean machine look like it's out for blood.
The black and red theme continues inside. It's a thoughtful setup
with the colors intertwined in places like the custom black seating
that has contrast red piping, and the red floormats have black
accents. The whole setup is clean, comfortable, and absolutely
cool. There are nice upgrades for convenience, like the
cold-blowing R134a air condition and an AM/FM/XM/CD stereo with
Bluetooth. It's also built to be a great driver with a B&M
floor shifter, an armrest center console, power steering, and an
upgraded sports steering wheel. Plus, not only do you get the
classic Trans Am style machine-turned dash panel, but also the
upgraded gauges glow red to go with the car's color theme.
Under the hood is the best upgrade of them all. This is a
fuel-injected LS-based V8 by Thompson Motorsports. They bored out a
6.0-liter unit so that you have Pontiacs magical 6.6-liter
displacement. It's also built with Texas Speed & Performance
cylinder heads, Texas Speed cam, FAST intake, and long tube
headers. The full package was given a professional tune to make
sure it runs strong. The 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission is
a stout unit built to handle big power, and it feeds a Positraction
rear end with versatile 3.73 gears. There's also subframe
connectors, four-wheel power disc brakes, and grippy ZR-rated tires
to give this upgraded power a confident feel out on the road.
Complete with build receipts and restoration photos, this is the
coupe with the mean looks and the even meaner heart. And you get to
enjoy all this aggression from a comfy A/C interior. Call now!
