Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this stunning 1984 GMC Caballero which is in beautiful overall condition and features the rare Grey Fern exterior color. This GMC is mostly stock outside of stereo and wheels and is in super nice overall condition. This GMC features a very nice re paint in factory Grey Fern Metallic, a beautiful cloth interior, the original 305 engine, and a clean car fax report. This GMC is extremely solid with great lines and gaps and no visible rust anywhere on the body and no rust on the underside and no patch panels. This GMC is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Grey Fern Metallic over Grey Cloth interior.
Exterior
The Factory Grey Fern exterior is in beautiful restored stock condition. This GMC was repainted in Factory paint some years ago and still shows very well. The paint is in great overall condition and has an excellent shine, great gloss, and is smooth to the touch. This rare color looks great in photos and videos but even looks better in person in the sun. The underside is very solid with no patch panels or rust issues and the body is very solid and strait with no bubbling or cracked paint. Both bumpers are in good overall condition with no dents and they both have a good shine. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires have near full tread left and are sized 215/705 R15 and drive well. The wheels are 15" rally wheels and are in great overall shape and have no curb rash and sport new trim rings and center caps. The rear cargo compartment and spare tire storage area are both solid and clean and the original spare tire is still in place with the original jack. The rear tail gate works properly and the bed of this truck is very solid and in great shape. The factory toneau cover is still in great working order and gives valuable protection to the bed of this truck.
Interior
The Grey Cloth interior of this GMC is in original stock condition. The seat covers are in excellent overall condition with no major wear, stains, or seam splits and are very comfortable. The carpet looks great with no major stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is in excellent condition with no cracks or fading and the gauges are crisp and clear. The upgraded Pioneer stereo looks good in this GMC and thankfully the dash has not been cut for a modern stereo. The original door panels are in good condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. All interior lights and gauges work as they should including the cigarette lighter and even the clock works. The horn, stereo, wipers, and blower motor on all speeds all work. This El Camino has factory air conditioning and all components remain in place and in stock configuration. Service stickers are on the ac components.
Mechanical
This GMC is in great mechanical condition and the original 305 engine still remains in the car and runs very well and a photo of the vin stamp is in the gallery showing matching numbers. We have driven this Caballero and it drives very well, it does not run hot, rides tight, and is a true joy to drive. There are no loud rattles or annoying noises. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should and were serviced. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. The engine bay is very stock and original and has not been messed with or altered. The exhaust looks stock and sounds good and performs well. New tires have been added recently to this GMC and drive like new. A new starter was added not long ago. Functional air shocks are in working order on this truck. This GMC has been loved and well cared for by its previous owners and the overall condition of the truck and the way it runs and drives validates that. Its an excellent driver that would show well at local car shows and cruise inns.
