Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this very nice 1985 Porsche 928
S. This example is a Euro / grey-market car that was originally
delivered to Switzerland before coming to the U.S. and spending
time on the West Coast in Washington and California. It has been
with the current owner in Georgia since 2017.
This 928 is finished in Prussian Blue over blue leather interior
and is showing 97,000 miles. It saw a comprehensive mechanical
refurbishment in 2016 which included a top-end engine rebuild /
valve job. Under current ownership it had a high quality, glass-out
repaint in the correct color. The leather seating surfaces and door
cards are believed to be original and are in nice condition; the
dash and some interior panels have been re-trimmed.
Power comes from a 4.7 liter V8, and as a ROW car this one has dual
distributors and a higher compression ratio than American-market
examples. It's mated to a four-speed automatic transaxle. This car
is well sorted and properly fast - it was rated at 310hp when new
and feels every bit as strong today, likely aided by performance
headers. The factory 16-inch wheels are wearing matching
continental tires, the A/C is ice cold and a period Clarion head
unit is fitted in the dash. It is smooth, comfortable and very
tight at speed. A Clean CarFax report, service journal and factory
tools accompany the sale. This one checks all the right boxes with
great colors, Euro specs and proper service history.
