Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1930 Ford Model A Tudor
Sedan, a very attractive example with some desirable functional
upgrades including hydraulic brakes, a manifold cabin heater, and
sealed-beam headlights. Two-tone blue and black paint presents well
over a straight and solid all-steel body. Straw-colored wire wheels
are wearing whitewall bias ply tires in good condition. Bumpers,
running boards, radiator shell and glass are all in nice shape.
Tidy interior finished in tweed fabric. Horn, lights and gauges are
all working (plus a supplemental "oilometer" gauge has been added
below the factory cluster). Battery has been relocated from under
the driver's side floor to the engine compartment for easier
access. For passenger comfort on cold days, this car has a manifold
heater to supply warm air to the cabin.
The 201 cubic inch flathead four-cylinder Model A engine starts
easily and runs well; three-speed manual transmission shifts
normally. From the factory all Model As came with mechanical
brakes, which get the job done but aren't exactly confidence
inspiring. This car has been upgraded with hydraulic brakes for
markedly better pedal feel and stopping power. It also has sealed
beam headlights for more reliable operation and better
illumination.
